You be careful 1bcshooter , if you break them down together you may end up with a coinco and a norlt .. If you do not have your reading glasses on .....

I was thinking of other ways that canam would be able to satisfy more people with performance in the delivery area. Perhaps they could offer an expedited delivery for an additional say $25. in which their order would be processed within 2 hours and if all the documentation was correct transfers would be initiated, once the respective cfo was done with transfer and info forwarded then shipping would be same day! For those like myself who are not so time sensitive, the price would be the same with a note in the shipping section that delivery may take up to 2 months or whatever! In circumstances like this deal, hiring would be temporary and by the time training was done the rush would be over so if there is a way to Prioritize/triage who needs the item sooner, it would keep costs down and more folks happy!

Faxed & e-mailed !
Otherwise I'd still be waiting

I am Still Waiting !!!

Got the two tone from last deal to play with, so no need to fret about arrival date.
Mine must be stuck in limbo with Burnaby.

Temporary employees .. One has to be vetted to work in these facilities .. Rpal'ed .. Etc.

Problem is not just in their shipping area .. Logistics all around .. Nothing can go missing ( big fines ) .. Imagine what an additional 3000 ( if the rumor is true ) units does to their security lock up .. Once the units are inspected and serial numbers given to sales they are re stored obviously in an area monitored by a senior trusted employee .. You do not get those employees in a help line , and in that type of an area space is never abundant and to many cooks spoil the bookkeeping, each unit would need to be relocated by serial number ( some in bottom crates ) before signed out to shipping .. Now there is a second bottle neck .. This is speculation on my part .. Never been there , but posts about 6 months ago would indicate you need to be a licensed dealer BPal to get inside, and you can't bring a friend. Bring a friend they wait outside .. Lots of red tape to keep their license.

Logistics for two tier shipping .. More stress on internal structure .. Sounds good .. But we do not know how organized it is now , and if system could stand that major change ..

I have a cautionary note to bring to all you new 1911 owners!!

No NOT wash your new purchase in HOT WATER!!!!!

I know the dishwasher MAY be a temptation to use on these, BUT ----

BE WARNED!!

These pistols ARE NOT SANFORISED!!!

Look at what MAY happen to yours if you insist on cleaning with HOT water...

Be very cautious with your cleaning methods, friends! Or YOURS may shrink, TOO!!!

Got my RPAL yesterday and emailed it and my clubs name to canada ammo.
I realize it will take some time but thats the way it is. I should have it soon enough to enjoy it this summer.
My buddy bought one of these combo's and I had a chance to have a look at the pistol completely apart. His example looks great and I hope mine looks as good.

I got me a box of gold today from the delivery dude WOOOHOOO or at least that's what I told him was in the real heavy box he offloaded for me lol
all cleaned up these guns almost look like 2! man that's scary!!!! when I was waiting and reading how people have been ordering two and three of these deals I thought you all were NUTZ!! but when I laid it down to admire it after it was degreased all I could think of was how cool it would be if I had two to wield around and I could dress them up like twins!!!! now I am starting to sound a bit freaky but I may just have to pull the pin, how dirty is this ammo compared to most? am I gonna regret having 2000 rounds of this stuff??

I got mine a couple weeks ago, and my wife just got hers a couple days ago. I have about 300 rounds through mine without any real issues and it seems decently accurate. Both guns are pretty decently nice, hopefully her's shoots as good as mine. I just finished teaching her how to strip and clean it, she took it apart and got it back together all by herself after me showing her the first time.

I surprised her with the pink grips today, and stole her non cracked ones for my gun.

Their website says orders will ship within 48 hours, but since they're backed up, I'm wondering, how long does it take to ship now? My transfer has been approved a few days ago.

BTW

Any good videos detailing field strip and clean?

Also, any recommendations for grips?
