Ive got 3 of them now and every one has a rattly grip safety. I bought a new spring, which was a waste. I should have just bent the spring.

I ran almost 500 rounds through mine with only the grips and the trigger in it and it ran perfectly. Not a single issue. Noob scratch... yup... im a noob. Lots of other scratches as well as ive learned how to disassemble and re-assemble a 1911 (I can do it now without any issues at all). I did have to use a few youtube videos to figure out the first, 2nd, 3rd and probably 4th times... but now I can do it without help.

Just ordered mine. Was tempted as heck first time around and decided I just "can't" sit and watch them sell out again without getting one. I wanted the ammo to try anyway, so I couldn't resist adding a $200 1911 to play with!

Mine is on its way. Soon I will be shooting.
Its being sent by Canpar, but some of you refer to the Post Office?
Are they using different shipping methods?

Canpar is my choice for shipping. A rifle shipped by Canada Post came 4 days past the confirmend delivery date. Just a "I quess you were looking for this from the postie!"

Actually it is only $170 if you are willing to sell it on EE at that price (I'll EMT you the money right away). Otherwise it is just Canadians who failed at math.

Conversely if you already going to buy the 1911 for $349 the 1000 rounds ammo is only $150, nice try :)
^^ actually, its a $170 1911 if you were aleady going to buy the ammo... hehe. Even BETTER.

I just made an attempt at shining up the barrel in the area exposed by the ejection port.

DARN, but that finish is HARD!!!! Eventually I will get it shiny!

I used a buffing wheel and compound - supposed to be for HARD metals!

After about a half hour of vigorous polishing with the wheel and compound I had on hand,

this is the (only slightly better) result:

I know it will take time to clean up, but the metal in these firearms is of SUPERIOR quality and hardness!

Once again, thank you Canada Ammo!

Bad Taste for Canada Ammo
6 July 2013...Still no replacement grips ...
All I Have two Broken 1911's
With no Grips

Canada Ammo:

My firearms were received with the following conditions:

#1 had an extremely tight barrel bushing and recoil spring plunger.
(Required a lot of sanding and stoning to get them to fit)
Grips were OK.

#2 had both grips broken. Otherwise, no major issues. Fit & function A-OK.

This is NOT a complaint! For the dollar, these are the absolute BEST value to

come along in a LONG time!!! Definitely "project" guns, but I know they will

function JUST FINE for most of us "occasional shooters" and be a fine basis for

any customizations that we (I) wish to attempt! Again, THANK YOU, Canada Ammo!!!

Hey, in all seriousness I will give you $200 a piece for your broken 1911's and I will arrange shipping! You will be rid of them and make a tidy profit!!??

In B.C. pricing the ammo at full retail with taxes the gun is $190.40 taxes in and delivered. Either way great deal!!!!

In ontario you pay $525 taxes in for the package. But 1000 rounds of norinco 45 acp is $330 plus tax or $346.50 taxes in for the ammo alone. $525-346.50 = $178.50... Therefore, the gun costs almost exactly $170 before taxes...
