LOL im sure they are going crazy at can am doing this, they likely sold at least a thousand, or ballpark therabouts by now.

I am going crazy waiting almost a month too, but meh, Ill take good and cheap and slow any day of the week.
 
I ordered one of these 2 weeks ago. My EFT was accepted last Monday. The transaction has gone nowhere else.

I once invented a product where the demand was far greater than my company was able to provide service for. We made a conscious decision to limit sales because we felt that our customers would be happier to get the product and associated services in a timely manner than wait, wait, wait... I have called twice and been told to keep waiting.

I think Canadaammo needs to either stop taking people's money until they catch up with the paid orders or get some help to keep up with demand. This crappy service has soured my desire to go through with this deal, regardless how cheap the Chinese 1911 is.
 
Mine got processed 2 weeks after payment. Now it's a waiting game from CFO... But hey, what's everyone's rush??? I have other guns to play with... And after seeing a couple for sale on EE already, these Norcs aren't anything to blow your load over. ;-)

Did you get into this knowing of all the possible delays?

If you did, then wait. Soon, you'll have 2 shiny new-ish '97 1911s.

Yeah and then you'd be #####ing about how you missed out and if they had a special then they should have ordered more! You ever see that Youtube video where Popeye's runs out of chicken during a special? It would be exactly like that. I waited three weeks for mine and only because I ordered on the first day and I gladly would have waited longer because a great deal is worth it.

Judging by your number of posts and join date, I would enlighten you with the thought that if you hung around another 6 months and posted anther 250 posts - You'll run across evidence that some companies (Like the one you are questioning) bring specific pricing that may be reflective of their service standards. Additionally, I regularly run across people who have waited 8-14 months, and recently I ran across a 2 year wait by one member for a firearm purchase.

It's supply and demand. As you become more educated by that, you'll see how starved the Canadian market is of products and how the mad dash to the cash register (like in this deal) is to be expected.

I had that message over 10 days ago & still no transfer started so I think you still have a ways to go .:D
 
^^ My transfer for this 1911 took one day to be approved... I got the actual registration certificate in less than 5 days (ive been waiting for my Glock 21 certificate for months). I also just called to get a TATT while I complete my required range shoots to become a member. I actually got a lady on the phone first time I called, she accepted the letter from my club via email while we were on the phone and issued me the TATT for 60 days that same day via email. Honestly, other than the ACTUAL ontario CFO being an anus himself... I have few negative experiences with the rest of the ontario CFO office.
