I wondered how many originally came in.. I always thought it would be neat for CanAm to say after the deal is done something like:
We ordered 3000
Sold 350 in the first day
800 in the first week
and averaged 50 per day until they were gone

Although I guess if they don't tell us how many there are, they might be more likely to sell out faster with people thinking "They are really limited numbers, I best buy mine NOW!" instead of "Oh well, they have 3000, I can buy in a few weeks after a few more paycheques"
 
wow, so after dis assembly, cleaning, there wasnt much to do, I polished and rounded off the odd edge here and there, literally took me 5 minutes (well 15 min to learn to break down the gun and put it back together, much more complex then on my M&P)

trigger is niiiice and butter smooth now, didnt need very much to be honest. Added some bright glo green paint to the sights

I spent too much time ogling it and fine tuning it to hit the range today, but I will tommorow!

This thread needs more pictures.

These are kinda teasers since I forgot my grips at work.
The grips that came with the gun were together, one had a crack but it's still holding together.

For the pictures I removed the grips and left it naked, looks better and gives you a better look at the overall gun.

Now you can all be jealous, I got a mint one! Not a single mark on this one.

Nice, mine is the same, can't believe how great these are,grips coming for mine too, when I get home in 8 days she is coming apart for a good cleaning and a trim where needed then to the range!

Well this is good news then ...so my order was shipped today is that correct?....order# 3957706 .....I was advised by the CFO of NS that it was approved for transfer by CFC on May 28th 2013.
 
Thanks TimeAttack those are some nice pics! I as many others are patiently waiting for my 1911. So far I've recived my TekMat and my VZ grips ( VZ did forget to ship my Turbo Screws but that's neither here nor there )

Now I'm thinking of ordering some extra mags and trying to stop myself from ordering a second combo without the wife leaving me. :)

If you email them a copy they will send it out....... I'm not a company so I'm not privy to exactly how they get notified by the CFO of the transfer but it takes me multiple days to get my notice after the CFO has actually finished the transfer. Not rocket science people. They also have other people in line for getting shipped. So if one hundred people have their transfers approved in one day it's probably pretty safe to say that shipping that many in one day isn't easy.
 
I know it could be a newbie question but where, you guys, can see if the gun you ordered is approved for transfer??? CFO web site? Well I tried to find it but unsuccessfully. Anyone would shed some light on this so I could check?

Wow nice 1911! I'm über jealous! Like an earlier thread stated the CFO is shafting us locals,and the Newfies apparently(good Newfie joke..........but I digress)I ordered April 25 got my transfer initiated on may 19 and will probably have to wait another 3-4 weeks :( but I'm not crapping on CanAm,I've got lots to play with(guns that is) to keep me busy.I'm really glad you guys are getting awesome looking guns,like I said I'm totally jealous and stoked!got my grips and 3 chip McCormick mags ready to go!so please keep the pics coming guys,it gives people like me a cheap thrill,and above all..........hope!:rockOn:


PS-The sad thing is.......I only live 40 minutes away from CanAm!
