Reply to olivares. No not sarcastic at all. The Handicraft-Vn.com website has a great selection of grips. But is shipping a concern? One of the sets of 1911 grips were custom made as a tribute to one soldiers Vietnam war expierence. He wanted them similiar to the grips he had made after his Korean war tour. So he served in Korea and Vietnam and has a 1911 honoring both. Can you tell us what your deployment is in Vietnam???

Yes this shop has nice grips(Handicraft-Vn.) they can custom make if you like,, the reviews say everybody is supper happy with their purchased items when they get them lol:D,, yes it does take them a while . mine are finally getting shipped after 2 months:confused:

So I pulled the trigger (no pun intended....) on a second deal and a crate of .223 and looks like it will arrive a little quicker than the first. Ordered late July 23, CFC transferred July 24 shipped July 25 !!

Mine arrived 2 weeks ago, they even include some black grips to replace the crappy brown plastic ones. Took it to the range the other week and I love it. Best part was Ted Nugent started playing on the radio as I got to the range and then I had the whole range to myself. Good times.

shhhh! now everyone's going to expect an extra set of grips

Best price on market :)

Yep, haven't found one better. I want to pick up another combo if I could. Who here's bought the most combos?

Short range vid of my Norc:

I'd say it was pretty nice to shoot, you guys have any shooting tips? The gun kicks me back and there's still muzzle rise. I've seen guys out there shoot the 1911 and it looks like the thing is standing completely still and flat, and the only thing moving is the slide going back and forth.

Took mine out for the first time this morning (order placed early last week). LOVED IT! Brought my wife along and, to my complete surprise, she enjoyed shooting it too! Thanks CanAm for the great deal and amazing service!

I just shot this today with my Norinco 1911A1 from CanadaAmmo. From 25 metres with the Norinco .45 ammo, two hands, unsupported.

The guys you saw shooting with light recoil probably reload their own. They develop a load for a particular gun and bullet weight so that the gun cycles, is accurate, and has the least recoil. Also it's cheaper and less tiring to shoot.

I shoot between 100-200 rounds every weekend. After shooting thousands upon thousands of rounds you just get used to it. The gun is heavy enough to absorb a good deal of the recoil. This particular Norinco is the most fun 1911 I have owned to date.

If you are shooting a stock pistol with standard ammo, you will get enough recoil to make you move. Judging by the video, you are handling it quite well.

I bought my combo just because it was a great deal. I didn't want another 1911. I cannot believe how accurate this thing is. Makes me wonder why I ever did up any 1911. This thing shoots as good as any of them. Very impressed. Only gun I have that shoots better is my Tanfoglio Stock 2 but that cost a bit more. :D
