I waited.......and tried not to look at the posts that happen on recently posted threads. I waited some more.......Kept looking at the positive reviews. I swore to myself that I would not keep looking. Kept looking anyways.....foolish idea I know but what the hell right? Resisted some more thinking I was going to go for a STI Spartan in 9mm. Read up on trigger jobs, polishing everything else and the quality of forged steel, etc. etc. Resistance starting to get weak. Looked at cost of reloading 9mm vs 45ACP. Thought about it some more. Started to like the idea of shooting 45ACP with lots of 22LR to ease the economic cost overall (I shoot a couple bricks each time I go out through my Browning Buckmarks). Thought some more and thought this was doable. Cost of the 1911 and not worrying if I make a couple of scratches on it. Thought more and it was more doable.

Finally......and I do mean finally caved as of 9:30AM this morning.

Now I guess that the waiting now begins.

Yeah, me too! Based on the reviews we'll be happy with the delayed decisions.

Damn ! I bought the Remington last year , was seriously lookin at the Norinco , but that was $365 ,just for the gun, of course the deals always come out AFTER you make a choice ! , still tempted though ,for a gun that cheap with the ammo ! Still a good deal if you just want .45acp reloadable ammo !! I agree Canadaammo has extremely competetive pricing .

I got some parts from Brownell and some parts from another US company..... Fusion ... http://www.fusionfirearms.com/ ....... just ordered them yesterday, so I don't know how long it will take.....

Update: Got (top quality) parts from Fusion... ordered on the 28th, delivered today 4th (included Laborday long weekend).......

How the hell did you get parts from brownell ? last time I tried to order a stock they said they don't ship to Canada , have they changed this policy ?

Some of their manufacturers haven't arranged government approval for international sales. Brownell's themselves have no problem shipping items that are approved. Example: I ordered a set of no-name 1911 grips, and they would not ship. Ordered a set of Chip McCormick grips and they came with no problem. Same thing with magazines. All depends on whether the manufacturer has export approval or not.

Yup, just as Karl said, one of the items on my order were sights, they mailed me (almost right away) that they couldn't ship that one item, the rest was no problem.... I ordered similar sights from Fusion Firearms (also US, very fast service and top-of-the line parts, recommended) no problems there.......for Brownell: just use the "outside of USA" filter, works most of the time, some parts slip through....

When I got my first pistol, I was thinking about getting a Norc, but I also ended up with a Remington instead......now I have two Norcs as well, haha!

Finally got mine fully striped to frame, oiled and reassembled. Very happy, blueing is good, here she is!

After about six months looking I just hit the buy button. $170.00 for a 1911 just s a very good deal. I love my other 1911 (sig stx) and figure this gun will be a great present for my son, whom I paid his pal and rpal courses too. I will keep the ammo though.

From buy button to my house in Ontario..... 11 Business days. Unreal. Thanks guys, you always amaze me one way or another. I will most certainly buying more from you.

Finally done with this 2 ,, One word of advise Brownell's ; they got the gadgets,, this 2 1911's are awesome now,, what a deal Thanks Canada Ammo!!!

Those are probably the world's worst photos, but damn, that top one is shiny, even with the crappy pic. Did you get it plated, or did you actually go through blood, sweat and tears to polish it?
