Bwahahahahahah, hahahahahaha, ha. That's awesome. Infact, that is super awesome. When you pulled the bullet was there a fortune inside?

Yes, it read: "Man who walk around with hand in pocket, feel a little cocky all day"...

I had 1 do this the very first trip out with my new ar, I still have the brass I will take a pic when I get home, I believe it was just a bulk pack I picked up at a gun show, I did buy a case of the white box stuff and have not had anymore do this. I'll check which batch my current case is.

I have burned through a case and a half of CJ93 and haven't had any issues aside from erratic accuracy. Runs good through my Mini-14, Tavor and AR.

The most curious part is: Why is this such an isolated issue? Most folks that have this ammo have seen nothing similar to our "ruptured" casings... 2 different AR's for me, a Tavor and AR for the OP. Seems like I'm the only one that has seen any damage from the faulty rounds.

How isolated do you think it is...and why?
Like you, I've had great luck with bulk Norc ammo before. I haven't gotten into my case of 1120, lot31 yet though...
It's destined for my T97...now I'm a little nervous.

I have no idea how isolated it is until we get more people shooting the stuff and noticing this thread... So far, I think 4-5 people have had the same result, with various firearms. I know for certain lot numbers: 25, 31, and 32 are showing these "ruptures", and I'm the only one that has had a defective casing without a flash-hole.

I expect this issue is going to become more prevalent as the white box gets used more often. im sure many still have the yellow and paper wrapped ammo they are working through before opening the white box crates. i will continue shooting this ammo but as soon as i see some chamber issues i will not be happy

I think quite a bit of white box is being shot, Since every wholesale sports seems to carry it at a ridiculous price, but it does sell. We should have heard more stories by now. Iam half done my crate with no issues but my lot# is low unlike the problematic mentioned #'s

Honestly - is this really an issue? I think the popped primer issue is more of a problem, but it seems to me that this only really creates smoke?

I don't reload, so I'm more concerned with ammo blowing up or damage to the firearm, and it doesn't sound like these isolated cases will be an issue?

A few people I know have had the holes in the case problem with the 556 ammo, another guy had the norinco 45 ammo doing something similar in his JR carbine. Not something I would take a chance on so I don't buy any myself after seeing the problems.
