Norinco 7.62X51 review

I've run about 1,000 rounds of it through my XCR-M with Burris scope, absolutely no issues at all, and suprisingly enough excellent groupings.

I've shot this ammo from my Winchester 88, Springfield M1A Loaded, ATRS Modern Hunter, my friends Remington 700 and his Winchester 100, also a Dominion Arms Socom 18 that I no longer have and I find that the consistency of the groupings is poor. That's my biggest complaint and it runs the same in all those guns listed above, regardless of the shooter. As far as function, I've had half a dozen or so primer strikes that never fired but no feeding or ejection issues. I was curious to see what the consistency of the bullets and powder load were so I pulled apart 10 bullets. I found the bullet weights were fairly consistent, within a grain or two at max but it was the powder charge that varied a fair bit. I believe there were 3 in 10 that were the same weight and the biggest variance was about 3-4 grains.

It is "cheap" Chinese surplus ammo tho...

To be honest yours in the first real complaint I have heard about it. Most rate this stuff above Barnual, MFS and Hinty (although people like hinty brass).

I think it's a good bargain to get a person out to the range and have fun, ring some gongs and train with your rifle. If you expect accuracy equal to that of the cheapest Winchester, Federal or Remington ammunition for example, you will not get it and you may be disappointed.
