Zygy shows the wrong picture..... that was the Type 95 which takes China's own 5.8x42mm ammo......

The Type 97 that takes 5.56 NATO and STANAG mags is shown below:

At one time NORINCO tries to make the deal of the Type 97 with Lever Arms but the owner didn't know that the Bullpup weapons are not prohib so he turns it down IIRC ;( ..........

Are they available in Canada? How much?

It probably not gonna happen unless we convince the owner of Lever Arms that the bullpuppies are not prohib, or we can make the Conservatives change their mind about the pistols/semi-auto firearms ban.........

marstar says "if you want something not listed here just ask us..." (on the norinco page)
Ask em hom much.

This is not (to my knowledge) a bullpup stock, but rather a complete bullpup configured firearm. The legal distinction is based on whether the gun in question can be fired without its stock. If it cannot, the "stock" is considered an integral part of the firearm, and the gun is legal.

You may wish to read and learn a little bit more before thrusting yourself with such certainty into a topic on which you are clearly not fully educated.

Bull pup stocks are illegal in canada! period.
You may think marstar is a bunch of idiots But:
Here is the reply from the CFC on bull pup stocks

Dear Mr. *****

Thank you for your enquiry.

The Criminal Code Regulations prohibits :

"2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the "bull-pup" design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position."

You would not be able to import it.and this would be
PROHIBITED! Under The Criminal Code Regulations
