So still waiting for my RPAL, but I am researching my first purchase. I. Want a 9 mm, so I think I have decided on the block 34, I like the longer barrel.

Having said that, I want to buy a few more calibre right away, without spending a fortune. Has anyone had experience with the Norinco brand? I see you can get some clones of 1911s or sits, for under 400 bucks. Are these forth the money?

Use the search function. I own 7 or 8 norinco guns and they are my favourite brand. I love the look for the price. Saves money for buying ammo. But seriously norinco is the bees knees, it's atom 9. Especially there 1911 series.

I have a few and like them. The Np29 is a good gun. They won't last long. They will come and go . 9mm would be a good start cheap to shoot. if you search them you will find pros and cons.

Norinco 1911's are all you'll ever need in a 1911. Consider getting a .22 for cheap practise. Norinco's M-93 is an excellent starter gun.
"Block 34", you got that right.

Thanks for the feedback. I love the idea of a sig, but not the price. I can buy 3 Norinco clones of diff calibre for 1200$.
Even the Tokerev for a couple hundred bucks looks like fun shooting.

Nothing wrong with em! In fact I am currently awaiting transfer of a Norinco 311 right now.

311 thats an old one. I still have mine. painted and ugly blue. It didn't like Wolf ammo but it was new at the time. It shoots everything i put through it now. Didn 't mean to side track. The 311 doesn't come up to often. All the best on your new gun

Cant attest to the Norc. handgun line but their rifles are top notch. Yeah they lack a bit of the quality control and attention to detail but for 1/3 of the price, who cares ?!

From a strictly utilitarian stand point, I haven't noticed much difference to the NA produced rifles I own :)

Norc 1911's are a super value. I've had 3, still have the first one I ever got, you hear the odd story of a lemon, but its fairly infrequent considering how many are out there.

Fantastic value, if you don't like it you won't lose much money on it - there are always new shooters looking for cheap guns. The NP29 is one of the softest shooting 9mm 1911s out there. The slide is thick and ugly but they shoot really well - a little trigger job can do huge improvements too and it's a series 70!

Norinco had been lately producing better quality firearms. I first bought a used NP22 (P226 clone) from a CGN member, and was surprised with the quality of the pistol, and bought another one (NEW). Never really heard of bad things except that they are cheaply price and made in China. Read reviews, watch videos, and this will help you decide better.

They really are getting better quality all the time....... Love my norcs..... Looking for a good sig copy at the moment...
