I picked mine up from Marstar back in march, I haven't had too many issues with just the occasional failure to feed when I ran it the other week I had about 3% FTF, rounds were fine when I ejected them and fed fine through the next mag. Knowing what I know now, i don't know if I would have bought a norinco as the price of AR's has come way down in the past couple of months, you can almost get a DPMS Oracle or a couple of months ago irguns was selling a bushmaster for about 50-100 more than the norinco. If only I had waited lo, but that's the case with everything not just firearms, the more you wait, the less chance you'll actually purchase something.
Just keep in mind that's it not mil spec and if you want to swap out the handguard or other things, you might have to file or make modifications for accessories to fit. Personally I'd spend the extra 50-100 for something that i wouldn't have to modify a brand new handguard just to fit for example. I wanted to put a different dust cover on mine only to find out that the stock one isn't really removable.
But overall I'm quite pleased with the CQ-A 14.5 and the price I paid for it back in March, I really can't complain. And it goes bang when I pull the trigger 97% of the time.
