Some countries might poor but their armies are not.and i dont think so that any country' s army can compromise on sub standard firearms.
 
Norinco stock 10.5in.... For me works perfect.... I would get one again for the price or for a first AR....

Yeah thats my bad. China is far from poor but it doesnt mean that because they use a Norc (which is their own product) that its worthy of being a military quality rifle. Its 500$! Lets use common sense. It may be a decent shooter for a civilian toy but as deployable combat weapon, its definately not top notch
 
State owned factories and cheap labor, these are two factors thats why Norinco firearms are sold on reasonable price.
 
I got one, bought brand new on sale a couple years ago. Its done a couple of classes and the round count is north of 2k cause i'm into my third case. I think ive cleaned it twice that I recall. gun has never given me any grief, no failures at all, and accuracy seems good from what ive shot, but ive never benched it with a scope.

they are really popular AR's, and I only know one guy who had an issue, his rear sight drum was so sloppy it would jiggle when you racked the charging handle, so I gave him mine since it was a just a spare part. I put an eotech and a fagpul flip up when I bought it.

for the money, its an incredible value, If us bumblescum citizens could use them for more than range toys, id consider upgrading to something with more flash, until then, im really happy with my crappy norc

Forged receivers and cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel.what else you want in a military grade rifle?
 
well , as far as I have understood from the posts of my friends above, none of them has gives any cogent reason as to what makes the CQA from unbecoming a military grade rifle. Peolple say it is reliable , they dont clean it for prolong periods yet it bangs ecery time and do not fails them. It is accurate , withstand the beatings of various training etc etc , yet they say , no it iss not a military grade rifle. OK , then if you search on AR forums , you would read even vitrans writing they wished to install after market barrels or other accessories on their military issued cold M4s /ARs. Some even done that , though it was a violation of rules . So what would you say in this condition ? . isnt a colt , a military issued colt is not combat worthy or it is not a military grade weapon . If your criteria is being expansive only , then we suggest the militaries of the world to quit their comparatively cheap rifles in favor of more expansive ones

I agree with you 100%.Norinco CQA is very robustly made weapon.thats why many armies are using it.
 
Wow who knew they were so high end. We should alert the CF now. Instead of spending north of 2k on a CC, they should adopt the Norcs. Think of all the federal money they would save. I'm gonna back out of this thread now being that there is no convincing the norc fanboys.
 
$530 at Marstar is a good deal. Norc's are mass produced with little to no quality control IMHO to save on costs. Most come off the assembly line pretty decent however the odd batch will get made where the tool was getting dull or developed a burr etc. I'm not a machinists nor do I work in a machine shop. I expect most shops in NA will inspect their work and notice tooling issues early and correct early. Others can comment on this as well however that's just my reasoning on Norc quality. I may be way off.
I had a Colt ar15 h2 that looked great however was not overly reliable with hang ups and jambs. Picky on both ammo and shooters. I had less jambs than others who would shoot it. My Norc does not look near as nice however it shoots every time. Accuracy? Good enough for what it is. I have other rifles to use for better accuracy.

I do agree with you on that dull tooling stuff.thats why Norinco firearms are not excellent in fit and finish.but they are dead reliable and this is the actual beauty of weapon.

I have shot norincos: pistols, t97, AR...
They are entry level, good to play around and learn fundementals, and get familiar with the platform, but thats it. No one expects a honda civic to win at monza.


Once you shoot something with a good barrel you'll know the difference.

Your posts in this thread are increasingly reminding me of the guy who compared his Sentra to my sister's Cayman on account that both got them to the grocery store.

Reliability is the lowest peg to hang your coat on, particularly with ARs.
