...Which is what every car, truck, bike, and motorcycle, and yes, firearms, is made of; including yours. There is very little iron mined world-wide any more; steel mills in north america rarely smelt iron from ore, they recycle steel.
Norinco does know how to heat-treat, which is why those companies that produce the magnum and +P conversions for 45 ACP always list Norinco as one of the short list of pistols strong enough for these conversions.
Finish on some might be a little rough, but there is more quality in Norinco than guns made of plastic and zinc... like Henry .22s for one example.

I had a Colt SP1 20" and a 14.5" Norinco. I did open sight service caliber matches with both and the reliability was flawless on both. Surprisingly the results of the 1,2 and 300 meter distances were virtually identical. I wouldn't be able to pick out which target was shot by which rifle. I used the Norc specifically to compare accuracy to the Colt. Sure the Colt was 70s and the Norc was brand new but they both printed where I pointed. That being said, i feel they both performed equally, and they both shot better than me.
I thought that was clarified years ago?? Steel in the Norinco M-14's is equal to or better then American

Obviously A LOT of people on here have never owned a Norc. Yep Chinese, Yep rough, Yep they go pew pew every time. ( well mostly)

i just noticed the lower reciever is labeled, 223, and not 556 like older norinco imports, can these fire 556?

Just get the AR Barrel wrench/tool & switch it- I have a complete {US made} upper w/ a 16" Bull barrel I want to put a 10.5" on. I know some sponsors have barrels. Seems they went up in price recently. I'd be happy to trade the 16" with a Norc. 10.5" My 14.5 has the M4 profile. Those are tough barrels. My 20" has pencil, & is very accurate.
HHMM... That is strange. Just checked and 5.56 is on the older ones including the DA ones from CA
