Norinco Glock?! Say it ain't so!

If they make it,.....it will sell, & sell good. People cant afford to live these days,..let alone buying over priced guns. Norinco for the win. ! Think about it......who's gonna win with this economy. The affordable product.

Sarcasm?

Here's mine. Bone stock except for sights. Still ticking after 30 years.

Half and half. Though I no longer own one, I admire the utilitarian efficiency of the platform when not dicked with. Yours is a prime example. I will never understand, however, the ZEV/Taran/Blackbox thing and the prices for them.

Also, who doesn't like to chum the waters a bit for the X man.

Boutique Glocks are not for me either. And I’ve not seen too many of them recoup their asking price on the EE either.
I think most people are smart enough to a Glock alone! And the Kidd will agree with me on that!

Norinco has never made a "solid" product ever.

Gotta disagree on this one. I have seen a guy sitting cross legged, slung up, banging a gong at 5-600 yards open sights with a worked over m14. They are not perfect but with some spit and polish and a little banging, and wrenching the can amazing shooters with some well made parts to start with. Much like many other brands..

Pure and utter B/S, there is nothing wrong with their products, they may not be the prettiest on the planet but I have a 1911, a DA556 and an NP22, all with over 20K rounds through each of them and they are still going strong, my son has an NP85 with over 30K on it and it too has no issues with it but a front bushing that came off and had to have the locking pin replaced.

HAHAHA, whatever you say sport.. For starters I call BS on the round count. The cost of ammo on the DA556 would run you close to $10,000 and an additional $5000 for the NP22 and another $8800 for the 1911. If you spent nearly $25,000 on ammo and selected Norinco products you're priorities are grossly misaligned and you are a very rare bird. Norinco guns sell because they're cheap and so are the people that buy them..

Second, You talk about 20k rounds through a pistol like it is some kind of serious benchmark. When your pistol has seen 6 figure round counts without issues then get back to us. 20k is a good start but far from earth shattering. Below are a couple links to high(er) round count guns. Oh and the NP85 did have issues, you said so yourself so that doesn't count.

The Chuck Taylor Glock above has now surpassed 300,000 rounds...

As for the rest of Norinco's products. Tell us more about the awesome quality of their Type 97's, or the "new" 81's with bent receivers, incorrectly made/installed gas tube covers, sharp edges, very stiff selectors. How about the Norc AR's with out of spec uppers that won't accept drop in aftermarket handguards. Or their longest running lemon the M305. Below are some links from this site alone about their shortcomings and by no means a comprehensive list.

Does anyone see a trend here?

I absolutely agree with the bold portion!

So you are saying it's not an all original gun. And that it sort of works after someone dumps an undisclosed amount of money. IIRC on the main battle rifle forums the general consensus on the norc m14 is you get one replace everything inside and then you MIGHT have a 1.5 moa rifle.

Kind of like a Springfield except cheaper.

If they use a half way decent plastic these may not be bad little shooters. It would be much easier to tolerate the glock pignose at Chinese prices rather than Austrian prices.

If you're ok with Chinese levels of quality and craftsmanship and are more concerned with looks than function, then you might be right..

For the price of a glock these days, especially when they go on sale or nice second hand ones, I don’t think the norinco knockoff could possibly be cheap ( price) enough to justify going with a Chinese made product.

I know nothing about this item or even of its actual existence, but I violently disagree with many of the comments here, and may question the intelligence of some people, if not their sanity.
I'm sorry if some may take offense, but I call it the way I see it.

I didn't read all 157 posts, so unless someone posted a link with real info I bet this isn't real. hilarious to see people so worked up over it tho.

Yup. They are the enemy and not worth supporting for cheap goods. They are currently a trade enemy and quite possibly a future military enemy.

Face it, in the eyes of the US anyone who is not American is an enemy; military, trade, religiously, ethnically, ethically; if you are not drinking the red, white and blue cool-aide you are viewed as inferior. Most Americans view Canada and Canadians as economic enemies

BTW, China's money is good enough for the US to sell them coal and scrap steel to make Norinco Steel; and their manufacturing is good enough that the US imports everything from socks to Automotive Engines and Transmissions (GM and others).
"Merraka; F*** yaaaa!"

Plus, we can get Norincos.... and you can not!!!!! LOL!!!
