Norinco Greatness

Why do the norc lovers confuse patriotism with ignorance. It's easy to understand why an American would not support communism with their $. What's lost on me is why there isn't a similar sentiment among more Canadian gun owners.

Saying you don't want a norc because it's Chinese? Ok, I understand that, there's stuff I won't buy from some countries. Saying all Norcs or all Chinese goods are crap? That's the ignorant part.

And I don't think anyone can realistically call China communist anymore. The head of "Ali Baba" is a billionaire, and in Toronto at the moment drumming up trade deals. That doesn't sound communist. How about "single party state".

You do know that China is one of the largest holder of US treasury Bills among sovereign nations and is the largest trading partner the US has. Too, the communist country you seen to dislike also has a vibrant stock market. Some here have not got passed their 1950 history class. Wrapping oneself around a flag and claiming patriotism is a weak argument no matter what the subject. The neo -nazis movement in the US would claim to be populated by Patrotic Americans.

I was asking questions so obviously do need schooled. Who won the last election in China? Is the public free to make their own choices? People should buy what they feel good about. I was only amazed that peeps here would argue with an American about norcs.

In a world of disposable junk, firearms are my refuge. I'm not rich but I'll be damned if I'm going to shoot junk like Norinco and support China.

Cadgo I am willing to bet the shoes on your feet are made in China, along with the ball cap you wear and likely your jeans and T shirt. You say you won't support China but depend on China to prop up your dollar by buying your US Treasuries - China holds more US treasuries than any other country in the world.

You clearly have no perspective of the value the so called Norinco junk contains. Compare the Norinco M14 clone to the effort Springfield Armory peddles for 4 times the price and come lecture us all on Norinco junk.

I bet you and your family spend more money over a five year period on products made in China than you do on quality American made firearms.

So lighten up. With any luck at all China may well be the key in preventing the retard in the White House from turning the West Coast into carbon.

if a Norinco suits your purposes, no reason not to use one. I own and have owned Norincos. Some have been lousy, but most have been sturdy and perform way higher than their price point.

I have Norincos with very high round counts that still perform well. Don't sweat it if you want one. I can afford some pretty high end guns, and I own some too. Doesn't mean I look down on a Norinco. They are what they are- and that's absolutely OK.

Got an NP22 (my favorite to shoot) and just got a 1911 A1C which I have yet to take to the range. Solidly built pistols. Have an M305 on layaway which I will be picking up soon. I also have a Sig P250 and a GSG 1911. Of all my pistols, I shoot the GSG the most (cheaper ammo and fun), but love the trigger and feel of the NP22 in SA. Have never had a malfunction with it in over 500 rounds of different ammo.

Norinco are great guns for their price point and yes they help a lot of people into the sport because of their affordability and durability. They are by no means the most beautiful guns but in my experience they work and they work well. To criticize someone for buying "chinese junk" and say that if you can't spend more than $500 on a firearm then you shouldn't be buying one IS ignorant.

Iv heard mix review of if an np22 can actually use a sig mag or can you only use the norinco mag? There almost impossible to find

Yes the NP22 can use SIG mags. The gun is a copy of the 226 design. I have a SIG Mke 25 so I really don't need a NP22 but that aside if I didn't I would not hesitate for a minute about buying the Norc version. With a little TLC they can be great shooters. I know a lady who did quite well using one in IDPA. She now has moved on to an M&P FS. Not sure if she would have got into shooting at the time had the Norc Sig not been around.

I have a ranking system and pay attention to where all my goods come from so very little of what I own is made in China. The majority of my possessions are made in the USA, including my clothes.

It's strange to me that so many get angry about my position on this topic. What you should be angry about are the people selling out your country to save a few extra dollars.

As for the M1A, I don't really care that much about them. I'd take a FAL, AR10 or even a ptr91 over an M1A.

Perfect that's awsome to here! I just ordered one yesterday and I can't wait to get out to the range. I couldn't find any np22 mags in stock so I was hoping the sig mags would work.. thanks

Enjoy your Norc. Don't be concerned about those who go on about the Norincos. They are what they are and for the most part excellent shooters. If you enjoy shooting pistols the NP 22 won't be the last gun you buy. Shoot the hell out of it and if it breaks after 50K rounds bury it with affection, it will have served you well.

No anger here, just be aware there is no shortage of junk made in the good ole USA, specially vehicles. I myself couldn't stand proud to be part of one of the biggest #### disturbing countries in the world, specially one run by a prez who is basically looking like a dictator more and more everyday and who is ready to ruin mankind and set off WWIII !

A fight with North Korea is inevitable, regardless of who is president. The other world leaders are just kicking the can down the road. China is hardly innocent in the North Korean situation.

As for the junk comment, there isn't a country or company in the world that hasn't occasionally put out a lemon. I've had far better luck with America made cars than Japanese or European.

I find it funny that the only nation in history to drop the big one keeps telling us how dangerous others are, and who should and shouldn't have nukes lol. A fight with North Korea is inevitable because there is a lunatic with his hand on the nuclear button??
You do realize that probably 80% of the world thinks America has the exact same problem, lunatic in control??
As a Canadian I gotta say, I don't have a lot of faith in either country right now, you may be our neighbors, but if you wanted something we had badly enough, I don't think it would take you long to " liberate" Canada :)

Seems to me we heard the same rhetoric when India developed the bomb, followed by Pakistan. If the US dumps the Iranian deal you can bet your last nickle Iran will go froward with their program and there will be no turning around North Korea either. Israel has the bomb, why do you think the Muslim nations, like Iran, want one?

On cars my American made Toyota Avalon is the best car I have ever owned (St. Louis, MO.) and my American made Toyota Tacoma will last me the rest of my life. (El Paso, TX). If by American cars you mean anything coming out of the Big 3....like really. You buy and hope you got a good one. Incidentally both the Avalon and Tacoma were American designed as well as made in the US.

ps If war with NK is inevitable then you won't see your retirement. You better hope for a better result.

Are you guys seriously arguing that America or even India and Pakistan are the same as North Korea? That's pretty nutty...

A war with North Korea is coming, whether it is now or in the near future.

If I don't see my retirement that is fine. There are worse things than death and one of them is letting an oppressive regime slaughter and torture it's people while we sit idly by and pretend it isn't happening.

I don't care what brand, I care about American workers so whoever is making things in America is a good pick in my books.

Your Toyota's might be assembled in the US but the engineering is Japanese, just like modern Honda Civics that are built right here in Ontario Canada. I am all for Honda and Toyota technology, had great luck

IMO, the USA has been the root of all evil over that past 16 years or so...

PS, enjoy your new toy chadeech
