Norinco Greatness

I find it funny that the only nation in history to drop the big one keeps telling us how dangerous others are, and who should and shouldn't have nukes lol. A fight with North Korea is inevitable because there is a lunatic with his hand on the nuclear button??
You do realize that probably 80% of the world thinks America has the exact same problem, lunatic in control??
As a Canadian I gotta say, I don't have a lot of faith in either country right now, you may be our neighbors, but if you wanted something we had badly enough, I don't think it would take you long to " liberate" Canada :)

Simply liberal hyperbole. If you think Trump is the same as rocket man you have a few screws loose.

That little fat prick is busy threatening us and our allies, enslaving, torturing, and oppressing his own people and you believe America has an similarities?

Seems to me we heard the same rhetoric when India developed the bomb, followed by Pakistan. If the US dumps the Iranian deal you can bet your last nickle Iran will go froward with their program and there will be no turning around North Korea either. Israel has the bomb, why do you think the Muslim nations, like Iran, want one?

On cars my American made Toyota Avalon is the best car I have ever owned (St. Louis, MO.) and my American made Toyota Tacoma will last me the rest of my life. (El Paso, TX). If by American cars you mean anything coming out of the Big 3....like really. You buy and hope you got a good one. Incidentally both the Avalon and Tacoma were American designed as well as made in the US.

ps If war with NK is inevitable then you won't see your retirement. You better hope for a better result.

...And a lot of those "American cars" are coming out of Mexico and Brazil; not to mention they often have Asian engines, transmissions, breaks, clutches, and most of the plastic trim is made from asian resins in Asian presses, often on Asian tools.

Just received my 9mm 1911 , cant wait to get her out

Looks good!

Your Toyota's might be assembled in the US but the engineering is Japanese, just like modern Honda Civics that are built right here in Ontario Canada. I am all for Honda and Toyota technology, had great luck

IMO, the USA has been the root of all evil over that past 16 years or so...

PS, enjoy your new toy chadeech

I work for a Japanese company that makes parts for Toyota, Honda, Etc and the so called "Big Three" as well; we have one plant in Canada, many in the US and in China.. and throughtout the world. Better managed (no bailouts required), and lots of jobs for everyone (we can not hire enough people, and we are very competitive wage wise). It's Trumps protectionism and the disruptive nature of other tyrannical and radical (if the shoe fits) regimes that threaten the world economy.

A friends wife once remarked when walking through Canadian Tire "so this is what China smells like?". Buy north american, and you are buying Chinese and just about everyone else too.

cadgo

Fair enough.
As a Citizen of the USA, you prefer to buy American.
I am Canadian, I prefer to buy Canadian products.
However, I prefer to buy to suit my own purpose.
Canadian is preferred, other considerations might take precedent.

I drive a Mercedes Benz car manufactured in Japan for example.
I bought it at an online auction, and had it shipped over.
My computer (and probably yours too) contains parts made in China, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan +++

Trade works both ways.
China buys products made in the US does it not?
China is supporting American Workers.

I own a Colt Python, A SIG P210-5, and around fifty other good handguns.
Including a dozen Norinco pistols.
ALL of them are good guns, some are fancier and more closely fitted and accurate.

copied from post 101.
"Wilson Combat for years and may still , lists Norincos as a gun they will work on. They would not work on Kimbers. "

Norinco 1911 steel is very high quality.
Not surprising, as Canada supplies China with the very best of Coal, Iron ore, And good old Sudbury Nickel.
They provide work for our Canadian Miners. I provide work for Chinese Metalworkers and Gunsmiths.

I'm not sure why you would even stoop so low, as posting to a Canadian Forum.
Certainly there must be much better American Forae for you to peruse.

All the best Eh!:canadaFlag::cheers:

This thread is wow! From norinco greatness to this.....if you like Colts great, if you like 1911's awesome or striker poly guns cool or are part of the ar crowd or shotgun sports or levers and bolts or precision long range....what I'm saying is if it goes bang whether it's a single shot or semi we are kinda all on the same "team"...this thread had devolved into shameful banter.

You like what you like what you like and don't what you don't, no need to cut other people down. Just move along, see sig line and move along....cou::stirthepot2:

I don't care what brand, I care about American workers so whoever is making things in America is a good pick in my books.

You have to understand as Canadians we might not care quite as much as you do about American workers. The fact is, like most Americans, we buy on value for the most part. If all you do is buy American and ignore better products available from other countries you run the risk of having outdated industries who are unable to compete with the rest of the world. Winchester firearms are now being made in Japan. CZ shotguns are made in Turkey, your Apple I phone is made in China. Nike shoes are made in China. Fenwick fishing rods...Made in China. Trump ties are made, I think, in Bangladesh and the Trump Tower was built in part by illegal foreign workers from Poland I believe. I guess it is a case of do as I say and not as I do when it comes to the Donald.

This guy gets it! Good to see.

The majority of my possessions are made in the USA, including my clothes.

Laugh2 and :bsFlag: Hey cadgo as a Canadian, you been living as a Yank too long, time to come home and stop drinking the USA propaganda. BTW Canadians, Americans have been sold down the river to big corporations long ago. Most goods from gotten from offshore, ie rice and chopsticks land, not hamburgers and fries ville:p
