Norinco JW-20 - Unbelievable price!!

The second JW 20 I ordered for my son is just as good as the first one. From the video comparison between the Browning I was expecting something quite a bit less,so am very pleasantly surprised.Did their quality controll improve,or was this from a diferent factory with higher standards?

Who knows?
I received 2 last week, one was good to go and one had issues. Neither is as refined as a Browning.

I agree, bought one earlier this year which was good and another one a couple weeks ago. Has some issues that I cannot fix although I'm quite literate with wood and metal working. Contacted canadaammo for a solution and hope for an answer soon.

That left receiver looks indeed quite gnarly.

I am very happy with my two ,they are the best Norinco rifles I have had for fit and finish.the only issue I had was my own making-losing the recoil spring guide(tip-cover the reciever with a towel when you remove it for cleaning, being so oily,it can slip out of your hands easily when you release it)
I'd like to know who in canada is stocking parts for the JW 20?

Any place that carries parts for the Browning SA22, the parts are interchangeable. As for Norinco parts, well Canada Ammo will have the market on those. They will have a few "returns" on these rifles and I'm sure they could/would part out the little bits that you may need. Contact them via email/phone with what you need and i'll bet they can hook you up.

Shot my buddy's this weekend. The metal isnt as well finished as my browning but it shoots as well if not better. Too bad ypu cant attach something to the threaded muzzle.

Yeah, they shoot nice! What about a muzzle break? Not much use on a .22 but would add some cool factor...

Mine should be here tomorrow! I was checking the delivery status with canpar and the latest update was "rewrap". I've had several items shipped via canpar from CanadaAmmo before but this is the first time I've seen that status update. I decided to call canpar to find out a bit more detail. They said there was likely damage to the box so they had to open it to "make sure there was no damage".. I'm not sure what to expect when I open the rewrapped box tomorrow upon delivery. Has this happened to anyone else before? In a way I'm glad it's an inexpensive .22 but I'm just hoping canpar doesn't mess around with my stuff... I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

never saw that one before, sounds a little sketch to me, but hopefully everythings cool.

Common practice at this time of the year. They're just changing the plain cardboard box to a nice Christmas wrap.
But seriously... I've never heard of such a thing either. Make sure to have a paper trail, in case it turns to a claim...

Yeaaa.. definitely sounds sketchy to me too. I also ordered an ns522 so I really hope they didn't have to "rewrap" that too :( they mentioned on the phone that if there is actual damage to contact them about it but if I sign for it aren't I responsible for any damages after? Maybe I'll call them again tomorrow just to confirm. Unfortunately I won't be home to sign for it tomorrow but a family member will be.

The two Jw-20's I received were just the 2 basic oily cardboard boxes taped together lightly with packing tape.
I can easily imagine a "re-wrap" scenario.

Canam is pretty good at dealing with issues though I must say! I received a return shipping label via email today.

I have full confidence in Canam but little in Canpar.. hopefully the box was somehow damaged but the styrofoam packaging held up and managed to protect them!

Anybody having issues with the rifle? Mine won't cycle. It dosent eject the shell and has a hard time feeding the first round when the bolt is pulled back and dropped. When the magazine tube is fully loaded and I hold the gun bottom up pull the bolt back all the shells come flying out at my face. The rifle is as clean as it can get and feels nice and tight when it's put together. Kind of at a loss here. Any ideas?

I had similar issues when I first got mine. For me though it was when using snap caps. I got fed up trying to figure things out so I just took it out shooting with live rounds and it ran flawlessly, well almost.

Mine still does it with snap caps. Will take it out and see over the holidays.

Just opened them up. Everything appears to be in order and no damage from what I can tell. I'm fairly impressed by the overall finish. No swag this time around, maybe they took that stuff when they "rewrapped" them.. Oh well I'm just happy the contents are in good condition!

I got two today and they appear nice except one has large repair [looks like plastic wood loonie sized and blond on a dark stock] Can't give that as a Christmas present. Will call in the morning.

I got mine last Monday, and the stock is broken. Called them and they said they will send another stock. Other problem is the loose barrel. Tried to tighten the bolt but still wiggling.
