From my limited knowledge of this gun, if you #### the gun and lock the bolt back, you should be able to reach in with something and push the firing pin back. As far as I can figure the firing pin has to be stuck forward, sort of like the SKS problem you hear about.

What does it do if you load one round and carefully close the bolt? Will it fire and eject it?
yes, it fires and ejects the one round if the mag is empty. I only shot it 5 or 6 times and then put it away for fear of damaging it.

I'm no expert but I'd say it has to be a problem with the firing pin sticking forward or possibly with the configuration of the spring/hammer assembly. Someone with more expertise needs to comment.

Just gave the jw14 a good 400 rnd work out. So far very pleased with its performance. Very simple design with ease of strip and reassembly. Had too adjust the rear sight by file, Centre punch, and hammer but all is well now.can defiantly see this becoming a favourite.had a few stove pipes & failures to extract but it will take some breaking in as the machining is quite rough. Over all a steal at 155.00 the way I see it. I defiantly recommend this gun but it would better suit someone who isn't afraid to lay some tools to it.

Just ordered mine about 4 days ago!

I can't wait to get her. Heard nothing but good things.

I'm no shy to take the tools to my guns lol

Too bad there aren't more magazines available for this thing though.

Just got mine today, after cleaning about a gallon of packing grease off of it, it looks pretty nice. I had a promag 795 mag that i modified and got it to fit, havent test fired it yet though.

didn't take too much, maybe half hour with a sharp knife and a file.

I did the same thing with my Promag 795 mag. Had to open up the stock a bit, but it turned out well. I've kinda turned the gun into a bit of a project. I'll post some stuff in the rimfire forum when I'm done.

Damn it!? Why didn't I know about these rifles when I bought my overpriced 10/22 a few years back!? :(

And sold out now!? God damn it all!

I'd sell my 10/22 to buy one of these......

Ive had a 10/22 for well over a decade. Thousands upon thousands of rounds through it and never had a mechanical issue. Look at all the issues people are having with these norcs: I think you did have the better rifle.
