The Chinese can absolutely crank out good products when they want to. I just compare the shoddy workmanship on my Norinco 213 (Tokarev TT33 clone in 9mm) with its rough edges, sloppy finish and visible machine marks all over it to my 2007 Norinco M305S which, apart from it's half assed Chu wood stock, is first rate in finish and form. The groups on the 213 are tight, but she shoots about 4 inches high at 15 meters, whereas I can regularly hit the gong at 200 meters with the 350S. I have even heard that the reciever on this rifle is superior to that of the Springfield, because it is milled and not stamped. True or not, I have no issues with my M14 clone other than the stock. I have recently added a "Rock Steady" mount and 3x9 variable Bushnell Buckhorn to it, and if it can hold a zero, I plan on taking it deer hunting this season.
