Norinco M-14 run qaulity

This is yet another Chinese product made for the masses at the lowest possible cost. The Chinese quality line seems to be "just good enough",no matter what the product.Wal-mart and C Tire are full of it.

New ITT: People who ##### about "Made In China", but will buy it anyway.

My rear sight on my 2007 has very audible and heavy clicks on adjustment. In fact I think it has more 'click' than my Springfield M1 Garand rears.

This is one place where the Chinese seem to have tightened up the QC. The norm for earlier batches is to replace the gray finished rear sights with USGI parts. Everything is too soft and the wrong thread for piece by piece replacement.

As for Chinese and quality control in the same sentence, lets not lose sight of the fact China sent two men into space last year (and brought them back). When they chose to make outstanding parts, they can. The trouble is most retail mechandise buyers have price points to buy for. Years ago I saw a disclaimer printed in the Eatons catalogue. They were unhappy with having to match Sears' price point on a particular cheap guitar, and they didn't recommend their own product.

As someone who (recently) worked 3 years in the global sourcing department of Canadian Tire, I can assure you that is as much or more CTC's fault as it the offshore suppliers'.

The Chinese can absolutely crank out good products when they want to. I just compare the shoddy workmanship on my Norinco 213 (Tokarev TT33 clone in 9mm) with its rough edges, sloppy finish and visible machine marks all over it to my 2007 Norinco M305S which, apart from it's half assed Chu wood stock, is first rate in finish and form. The groups on the 213 are tight, but she shoots about 4 inches high at 15 meters, whereas I can regularly hit the gong at 200 meters with the 350S. I have even heard that the reciever on this rifle is superior to that of the Springfield, because it is milled and not stamped. True or not, I have no issues with my M14 clone other than the stock. I have recently added a "Rock Steady" mount and 3x9 variable Bushnell Buckhorn to it, and if it can hold a zero, I plan on taking it deer hunting this season.

I got one many ,many years ago, the stocjk was crap, the operating rod would not come off, the gas plug kept coming lose and the barrel was bent a bit, yes the quality now has gone up 1000000 percent

you can seena 4L milk jug at 300 yards and hit it 4 out of 5 times with iron sights, hot damn.

i think i better get my rubbers on its getting messy

Yes, I could see well enough to shoot at it and I had a friend spot my hits with the scope on his rifle, from the next bench over.

He is on this board too and can attest to it. I forgot to mention that they were full with frozen water and did not fly away when hit. I had them dug into the side of a sandy hill and the white showed up pretty nice against the color of the sand.

If you think that kind of shot is impossible or incredibly difficult at 300 yards you must be very bad shot or have really bad eye sight.

love my 2007 batch m14, got about 300 rounds thru it and not a single fail to feed, fail to fire or fail to eject...shot both surplus 7.62 nato and factory loads thru it....i just wish ammo was cheaper. you absolutely cannot get a better rifle for the money....the non-restricted status makes it even better

I am that friend that was watching, and to correct you, they were the plastic 2l jugs, not 4l, three of them side beside. 4 out of 5 times. He's done it. I've also done it with mine.

I personally know 8 people, that have bought 9 of the 2007 M14S guns, and aside from the firing pin piercing a few primers on the South African ammo, there have been NO problems with then whatsoever.
