Norinco M4

I do not own one these rifles. These pictures are from Lever Arms who imported them. I have managed to fiddle around with them a bit. I don't plan on getting one myself, as I have more than enough AR's at the moment. I do think it is an excellent chance to get into the AR game for somebody on a budget. I know most of you whiners do not even buy guns.

It looks like some paint was slapped on over much of it. The parts underneath have good looking parkerizing and anodizing. Strip it down and hit it with some Krylon and it will be just as ugly as every other AR out there.

Sort of an odd looking finish on the fire control parts, but they are standard rather than the somewhat funky looking ones that where on the prototype that was kicking around last year.

Auto carrier with shrouded firing pin.

Not a great staking job, but they have been done. Better than many Bushmasters and DPMS rifles that I've seen.

I haven't check the stock to see if it's Com or Mil.

From the pictures it does look like allot better deal then the $1699.95 rifles :S

At $899, I can wait for Marstar to do to the M4 what they did to Lever's pathetic attempts to "fairly" price the M305's.

I'm willing to bet John will have it for under 6 bills.

If your right (and I hope that you are), then instead of hearing "don't buy one, buy two!" the new mantra will be "Don't buy two, buy three!"... ;)

Well, 899$ for a 14.5" AR with a collapseable stock and removable iron sights isn't bad at all. I hope MARSTAR doesn't take too long to get them in...

Thanks Jeff, do we have an idea how long till they will be available? I'm picking up an M&P 15 and would like one of these as well.

But when are MARSTAR's going to be available?
Every time Lever gets Norinco "anything", they price it like it's diamond-studded gold bricks and then Marstar sells the same thing for 50-70% of the Lever price.

I expect these to be no different.

Anyone remember how it went down when these items first came out?:

Norinco 1911A1 (Lever $500, Marstar $325)
Norinco NP34 (Lever $600, Marstar $375)
Norinco M305 (Lever $799, Marstar $399)

Anyone who pays $899 for one of these from Lever, in my opinion, is either:
a) Desperate for an AR
b) Overly impatient
c) A S_U_C_K_E_R
d) All of the above

Just my PERSONAL opinion.
