Norinco M4

Hmmm

Note: Firearm is hard anodized and parkerized; however, painted finish is not as durable as on North American produced AR15's. Painted finish will wear with use. Therefore, firearm is warrantied for mechanical function, but not for defects or wear to the exterior finish.

Fixing the finish would cost a couple of hundred dollars... so where is the savings?

But when are MARSTAR's going to be available?
Every time Lever gets Norinco "anything", they price it like it's diamond-studded gold bricks and then Marstar sells the same thing for 50-70% of the Lever price.

I expect these to be no different.

Anyone remember how it went down when these items first came out?:

Norinco 1911A1 (Lever $500, Marstar $325)
Norinco NP34 (Lever $600, Marstar $375)
Norinco M305 (Lever $799, Marstar $399)

Anyone who pays $899 for one of these from Lever, in my opinion, is either:
a) Desperate for an AR
b) Overly impatient
c) A S_U_C_K_E_R
d) All of the above

Just my PERSONAL opinion.

This is a e-mail I sent & the response Marstar sent back

I would like to order a Norinco M4
John has said Marstar will be selling them .
Other dealers are now taking orders as they are in Canada
I have purchased from Marstar before & would prefer to give you my order .
Please let me know how soon before you can ship . Other dealers say March 1
Thanks

WE WONT SEE THEM UNTIL MIN. 2-3 MONTHS . THANK YOU !!

oh suck it up, the only part that the finish really looks bad on is the carry handle... and frankly how many of you are going to be using the carry handle.... ???

the rest of the rifle looks good and come on, if you wanted pretty you would buy an alberta tactical rifle lower, these are norinco, what did you expect ? go buy a can of shake and bake paint, some steel wool and spend an hour making it look new.

You know what the sad thing is?
Besides those were the best pic's Lever Arms had to provide us with & providing that outragous price. Some moron out there is actualy going to buy one when they could get the real deal for 3 to 5 hundread bucks more. Gauging to Lever Arms is more like an art form then a dull spoon.

Hey Westicle - are you freaking kidding me?!? Imperial Defense = crap, Norinco = good???

Get with the program! Look at the forward assist. It's not on the carry handle ;) And think about it - people buying a sub-$1000 AR aren't going to run out and buy a $1000 ACOG and might well need the irons ;)

Just look at the ejection port cover - yuck! There's spreay-can over-spray on the back side which is mostly bare bead blasted aluminum.

I know these guns will run fine, but $900 for a chinese AR that looks like bubba grabbed a can of tremclad BBQ paint and a $1 paintbrush to finish the thing!?!

No thanks. For a few more bucks, buy a used Stag.

Listen guys. The only way a range report will make it to this site is if from now on we pretend to be amazed by this offer!LOL!

So time to cheer up this thread!

For $25 you could duracoat it, I did it to my CQ311 and it came out fine.

It it just me, or the fire control engraving is pretty piss poor to non existent.
Very nasty for the price they are asking for, yuck!

But the question is, how do they shoot?

Hey Westicle - are you freaking kidding me?!? Imperial Defense = crap, Norinco = good???

the fact of the matter is simply this, so many newbies will not buy a gun priced higher then $1k.... most ar15's are in the $1400-$1600 price point before taxes, shipping and so on.

Norinco Ar15 - $899
FakePoint with Mount - $150
Spray can of duracoat - $20
Steel wool - $5

total cost is under $1100 WITH optics and ready to shoot..... for a newbie these are a way better buy then a $1700 Imperial Defense Rifle that has a ####ty finish as well.

at least the norinco uses full auto carriers, trigger parts that follow standard ar15 geometry like the safety and otherwise..... frankly the norinco's look better then a lot of oly arms I have seen.

right now, worst case scenario is you have to replace the trigger parts and the bolt..... these are the only parts on the gun that I could ever see being substandard and would need replacement..... but frankly I would guess they are goign to be as good or better then the m305 since china is exporting M4 clones to ALOT of countries for military use.
