Norinco M4

The finish on my M4 seems just fine. I figure a couple of dings and scratches will happen anyway. As long as the components inside are of good quality, and they seem to be, then that's great. I know the rifle performs excellent on the range.

Have you seen some of the pictures of KevinB and Big Red's stuff (all premium quality stuff) they do tend to get beat up, regardless of where they were made or by whom (but only if you actually USE them). :D
A shiney clean AR belongs on a parade square, I'm not required to visit a parade square, so I have no use for shiney clean AR's. One of the great things about Chinese firearms that most people really don't get is that they're cheap enough that you can beat the living sh*t out of them and if they break, just go get another.

Got mine after a long wait...... Finish is just fine, I had to clean and oil it, which is standard anyway. The paint on the mags and body take the oil like parkerizing. The top and bottom fit is nice and tight. sear faces etc are all nice and hardened. Oil bottle is useless..... but I digress.

I hate the pistol grip though, it's cutting into my second finger. Ordered an ergo grip.

All together, a very nice gun for the cash. Mags are 5/30 but the follower is nasty cast zinc/alum alloy. Pinned to 5 and factory refinished. Cant really tell but if you look close, there's a grinding mark under the paint.

Got mine today..I agree the mags are the worst part..the finish is as I expected..the stock is really hard to adjust as the buffer tube is a bit too large. 1.18".....the CMMG .22 conversion kit dropped right in and functioned perfectly...over all Im happy with my first AR type rifle..

My trigger pull is fine for a battle type rifle...It will smooth out a bit over time..How did you polish the inside of your stock..I have Magpul MOE that i want to install but it is way too tight...

I used a scotch bright pad wrapped around a shotgun cleaning rod & ran it through the stock off the tube. It freed it up a bit but I found that it was the tube that was not true it had a high spot. I decided to change the complete assembly. I installed a new CAA tube & stock

My tube measures out to 1.18..s/b 1.17..I may end up doing the same..but I will just try and wear it in for now..need to get quad rails next.

Where do I get a 22cal. conversion kit like yours. Firing .223 for a few hours starts to add up. I didn't find the stock hard to adjust on my M4. I am very pleased overall with the performance of my M4. As was said. It is a good rifle for anyone who wants to get into the AR type rifle. Lots of goodies you can add on also. Looks really good all tricked out. Thanks

Got it from Questar..I think it was $380.00 inc one mag..get an extra mag or 2:D The tight fitting buffer tube does not seems to be an issue with all of the rifles. I sent a email to Walt at arms east a few days ago asking if this would be considered a waranty item...i dont think you should have to replace the buffer tube to get the stock to adjust..I have a Magpul MOE stock that wont fit on at all.....I have not heard back from him yet..

My stock was tight... its not going to be a warranty issue on mine. Some lithium grease freed it up. I'd rather have it tight than loose and rattling around.

Of course, just right would be nice.
