Watch where your trigger hand is on the butt stock, the Winchesters were called knuckle busters for a reason.

For $450.00, you really can't go wrong if you know what you're getting.

Bought one for $400 once. Got one shot out of it and the action seized up completely. For $450 and some patience you can get a real deal Winchester 1897 and have INFINITELY better build quality and reliability!

Really enjoy mine! Slam fire is fun. :) One word of caution....I was using mine for some clay shooting and the stock started to split where it connects to the firearm. Marstar honoured the warranty very quickly. I made sure to use some blue locktite to the stock bolt and never had an issue since.

They are often seen on Cowboy Action ranges, they , for the most part, work passable for a shooter that doesnt require or want the cost of an original Win 97.
They are like the Nor 87's , some of them are fussy on what breed of ammo ejects reliably but for the most part the folks that want the "inexpensive experience" to shoot cowboy, they arent concerned with perfect speed usage. Your usage requirements will decide if it will work for you.
Even the original Win 97's can have a foible or two but for the most part they are much more reliable in extensive use or camp protection use than the Norinc's. My wife's 1901 circa 97 has shot thousands of rounds for her and still just will not jam, I dont think it has missed a beat since 2001 when we bought it.
