Mine just showed up Today. So here is a little Info.

The Mags fit 4 shells, But it looks like the follower can be cut for another shell.
The Receiver is Aluminum. The Gun is light fully assembled.
The Bolt seems to be hand fitted as there is lots of polishing on it. The bolt carrier is not.
Very smooth cycling with snap caps. The bolt locks back on empty.
The gas system has no O-rings, Just a labyrinth type gas piston.
The Mag release is a pain in the A$$. Since the bolt locks back on the mag follower.
The ribbed (cant remember the name) thing on the barrel looks to be epoxied on by a drunk. But the bead is at 12oclock.
The gold Trigger, Safety and mag release are cheesy.

I'll hopefully get out after work tomorrow and see how it likes Buckshot and Target loads.

If you cut the mag follower so the mag holds another round you may find that the follower tips and doesn't feed reliably.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I don't plan on doing anything yet. But I have a idea for a new follower, I want to see if the gun is any good first or if it has any other problems.

Keep us up to date. I've been looking at this gun for awhile but haven't seen many reviews or info. Rod on civil advantage mentioned he heard they were prone to jam. But I like the idea of a mag fed shotgun.

in for future updates, they seem cool but there are exactly 0 reviews out there. It doesnt seems to be a copy of anything

Well I went out after work and put 50 rounds through it 25 00Buck and 25 #8.
Cycled the bolt fine.
But.
The Mags need a little tweaking. The followers are cast Aluminum and are very rough. The followers kept jamming up and not allowing the next shell to pop up to be caught by the bolt.
So I'd give the mag a little tap and a recock and was good to go.
I'll be giving the followers a polishing this weekend and give it another go.
One thing I should mention, the mags are really light gauge steel. I was bumping them off a rest (to pop the round up) that was on the bench I was shooting at and one of the mags the bottom blew off. reassembled and kept shooting.

I did get a few mags worth of no stoppages.
The target loads ran better than the Buck, I was surprised.

After a bunch of searching and stumbling on the net, I've found that this is a copy of a Beretta A300. The difference being that it's mag fed.

I also fit a S&J Mossberg 930 charging handle to it. I didn't like the original.

I think I've gotten all the bugs out of the magazines as well, required about an hour or so of fitting and filing per mag.
I have yet to shoot it since though.

If you Google < Norinco / Hawk Industries semi-auto shotguns > you'll see what I was looking for a couple of years ago. I was told by a Rep at the time, that they were a couple of years away. It looks like they added a mag to the basic model. Is this a clone of the 1100 ?...in 2 3/4 only ? I was planning on getting the mag fed one as the Bullpup looks a little too goofy and would put an eardrum out as well. lol. Norinco being Norinco, please keep us informed on how it shoots... and any other 'issues' it may have. Thanks.

This is not a 1100 clone.

This is not a 1100 clone.
I should have been clearer...is the Norinco 1000 a Beretta clone, then ?...and is the Hawk an 1100 clone chambered for 3" ?...or are they both A300 clones ? I tend to agree with "Luke s" and others ...the whole purpose of having mags is to have many spares when you need / want them. That was my original thought when I started looking at these types of semi's.

If you look at the mags they are the same as standard Colt AR mags. the mag release is a AR mag release.
I'm wondering if a .308 AR mag can be modified to hold the shells. I need to get a mag and check it out.
