Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my experience (so far) with my norinco NP-34. I'm not going to try and say "it's as good as a sig" or other such nonsense. But as a $269.99 9mm I really cant complain too much. The finish quality is obviously not the best but the machine quality is not as bad as I was expecting. The slide fits tight with a slight side to side play when locked open, but not enough to make noise. The DA trigger was obviously trash... exhausting to pull more than a few times in a row. The SA is suprisingly crisp but the reset on it is pretty long. The trigger parts it comes with can be polished a bit if you know what your doing and want to spend the time. I imagine putting some better quality springs and trigger parts in it will vastly improve trigger weight and rest. Another thing I feel worth mentioning is the norinco mags, I bought 6 total with my NP-34 and have used all of them over the 500 rounds I've shot through it. I personally haven't had any issues with them, they always feed and eject when I need them to. All in all it goes bang when I pull the trigger:shotgun: and for the price why wouldn't you buy one?

Ya, I bought one from for price alone. I dont use it much but dont regret buying it either. And I totally agree about the trigger, it's the only really downfall but hey, what do you expect?

My NP34 is a great shooter, and the SIG SRT kit made all the difference.

No pretty, but tough as nails, eats everything, and shoots better than many more expensive handguns.

I'm torn on to whether change the trigger. It will make it a lot better for sure but something seems wrong about spending money on quality parts for a norinco.

I ran 4000 rounds through my last one. A pair of P228 Hogue grips and put in Wolff springs. It ran like a top and never failed on me. If I get another one I'd like to try the SRT kit.

Take up was a bit mushy but the trigger on mine wasn't bad but that might be because I bought the all chrome version. I said to myself, free delivery, on special and the same price as a blued verson, why the heck would I not buy the chrome version. I should've done the same for the NP22 when it was available in chrome.

who has them on for $269 ?

I also have a Norinco M1911-A1 sport model on order, anyone have experience or opinions about the norinco 1911's?

I have one; satin chrome finish on both the frame and the slide. Nork checkered black hard rubber grips; adjustable rear sight. It is a sharp looking pistol. Runs like a top on both factory and remington mags. I shot two boxes of factory ammo and 2-3000 rounds of home loads since. My accuracy loads are moderately light 200 gr. LSWC. It is accurate! The adjustable rear sight is a bit of a teaser to adjust. Like all 1911s you will get the odd piece of brass with the mouth crushed/dented. Small ejection port (most updated 1911 designs will have a lowered, enlarged ejection port). I have so much brass I don't worry about it.
