Norinco NP29 with RMR sight

Thanks so much for the info. I understand it a lot more clearly now. I was at Bullseye in London yesterday but they didn't have the correct mount. I'm still in the shopping around stage right now so not a big hurry plus vacation time is up in two weeks so need funds for it. I picked up some floursent paint today at a craft store to brighten the front and rear site to see if it will help until I can get the correct set up. Guess I'll know the next trip to the range.

My eyes are old and I have trouble with black front sight out side, not too bad inside, on my other norinco9mm I put a dab of white paint on the front, then some neon pink on top and it really works good, just on the black, it did not stand out, I find a white base is better, most of my guns are older and don't have fiber front sights , only one is that Canik that I have the other red dot sight on, worked fine, but it real small, and I bought that gun because I had another Vortex in stock and what other reason to buy another gun to try out.
BTW, was at the range today by myself so took some time to really zero the sights and at 23-30 yrds they where right on the bulls eye, the 45 more so because I am use to the trigger.
The Canik, I still can't get use to that trigger, The only company I had was two gophers running across the range, they are not the brightest bulb in the room.
BTW, when I started to get this bug, I saw a video on mounting these, I think could have been Brownell's web site, not sure , but you could check that out.

Fluorescent paint. It is critical that you paint the sight white, first. if you just use the red paint, it will be dark. The white underneath makes it pop.

Does anyone know where to purchase the Burris 1911 adapter plate. Amazon is showing one for $110 ouch!!
Is there any cheaper ones to be found out there?
