That is a really nice job you have done on that gun. BeautifulBling completed!
The spacer for forend sucked! It is hard to believe that such a small piece was more work than the butt pad and grip cap combined.
Anyway, turned out pretty good and I kept the finish intact. If I was smart and had planned ahead and done the bling during the stock redo, then it would have been soo easy. I am fortunate I didnt monkey up the finish. Tomorrow I will clean it all up and take a buffer to the whole thing.
Watching you guys on this thread got me to buy one. Can't wait for it to get here. Crazy week. I ordered the NS 522 yesterday, I found 3 bricks of 17M2 today and on the way home got a call my B mag was in. Looks like I'm going to be busy for a while.

Well,
After I put my kids to bed my plan was to sneak down to the shop and finish the forend spacer. It was sitting a wee bit proud in the barrel channel and I was nervous about losing my free float. I also wanted to sink a hidden screw coated in epoxy to strengthen the connection. I used a 1/4 inch dowel and epoxy, but after sleeping on it I decided to add the screw from inside the barrel channel as insurance, as that area can get bumped about. So, my original plan to buff the stock took a back seat after I got busy doing the forend.
But...
One thing that had been driving me BANANAS was the chunk cut out for the bolt handle. I had been thinking about what I wanted to do and so I continued the aluminum theme. I started out wanting to inlet a 1 inch thick piece of alumunim for the bolt handle, but I found after getting a rough profile, that I hated it. After a long while I decided to just fill the space flush style and polish it up to match. Easy right? Hells no!!!!! There were multiple wonky angles to contend with. That small filler piece alone took me over 2 hours from start to finish. I made it to function as sort of a bolt stop as well. I am very pleased with the filler job, I just hated the look before!! Please forgive the crappy pics, as Im soo done with this for tonight. I have now decided after all the bling I added that the stocks finish got a little trashed. I am going to knock down the gloss and give it another clear coat to clean it back up.
Please excuse the tote lid. I was having trouble getting my camera to focus. I still have to clean up the extra bedding material from the inlet of the stock. I was waiting to make sure she shot good before signing off on the bedding. It does, so its on the list incase anyone is wondering.

There is one sitting at a gun shop on the way to my cottage. It is used, and I was kinda of weary as to why someone would sell a rifle they just bought but it seemed to work out fairly well for you.
I just want to handle the rifle before I purchase. I have a Savage MK II at home sitting in a SSS stock with a 14 oz trigger which has shown great potential but what's wrong with two rifles having potential?
The only thing I'm going to have a hard time getting over is that stock. Yours looks amazing but I do not have the same skills you do in that regard. I have approached some stock builders to see if we can get a group build put together. Full inlet, semi finished and hopefully for a price that makes sense.

I need to do some corrective work on my sharp shooter supply stock for my MK II. Just a few mistakes in their manufactuering. Odd that there would be that many mistakes in a stock that I waited 15 months for and paid more for then the rifle itself. But it is a thing of beauty and the manurfacture has done everything they could to rectify the situation.

The Eggroll does well with most, but is dead nutz accurate with Fiocchi SV followed by Federal Auto Match. I can find zero premium ammo where I live, so I have only fed it the 11 kinds I can find.
At the Silhouette match on Sunday the provincial champ was shooting Master class using Dynapoints in his EM322, so that should give you an idea on how well some of these shoot. He told me he had just ordered an NS522.
