Norinco Olympia pistol 22LR only 199$

We did a final count, there are 30 Olympia pistols left:

Well, that's what the BC CFO told me when I called in and actually spoke to them. That the serial number needed extra checking and it had to go to the registrar before approving the transfer. I called for an ATT to move and they approved my two other pending transfers while on the call but said they couldn't approve that one because of the issue.

Can you tell me who you spoke to? PM me if you don't want to make it public. We would like to get to the bottom of this.
Thanks

Sorry, I don't remember her name. I called into the BC CFO to get an ATT back in the first half of July for a move around the end of the month. She was able to approve my other pending transfers but told me she couldn't approve the Olympia one because it was at the registrar to check the serial number. That's all I know.

To be clear, this isn't intended to criticize you guys, I'm really pleased with your service and the pistol. Just suggesting that the longer delays for transfers on these might be because of serial number issues and other people might be in the same situation I experienced.

We do not feel attacked, we are happy you brought this to our attention so we can address it!
We'll try to reach the CFO again today.
Thanks

Did you guys ever figure this issue out? I just got off the phone with the BC CFO to get my license renewed and once that was done I inquired about my Olympia transfer. The woman's name was Shelley/Sherry or something like that, and she told me that there was an issue with the serial number, so it was sent to the registrar and she couldn't help me any further with the transfer. She said that there could be various issues with the serial number including a duplicate number or if it was too short. She was also very apologetic for the transfer times and my renewal delay (it's been 6 months but she just approved it over the phone with me), stating that they're extremely short staffed. Not upset over this or anything, just looking to get some extra information! Thanks.

I called the CFO on Friday about a private transfer and they approved the Olympia transfer at the same time, no issue with the serial number. So it’s on its way

Got thru to the BC CFO today.
They approved another pending transfer on the spot.
The Norinco transfer could not be approved today (Nancy tried bless her!) because it had been sent "Up for Review".
She said it was an issue with the gun. Presumably the same as others here......
Any progress on that front??

The BC CFO told me the same thing last week. Approved my license renewal that was pending for 6 months over the phone but couldn't approve the Olympia transfer because it was sent the the registrar for review. Thankfully yesterday the transfer was approved after 4 weeks total wait. Longest I've ever had to wait but not as bad as Ontario lol. Hopefully now that yours is "under review" it'll be approved soon.

We finally managed to reach someone one this. Turns out it is accurate, the shorter serial #s require an additional check before the transfer gets approved. We were told this does add a small delay to the transfer process but nothing major.

I bought one of these August 7th (598###X) - Alberta resident.

I just want to say thank you again to MARSTAR for the great offer and all your hard work.
