I wonder if its possible to buy just projectiles from the chinese ammo plants. Theres a definite market for cheap fmj, s in both rifle and pistol calibers. Last time I priced out "domestic .308 150's they where almost as much as a hpbt match bullet

I have never seen norinco components sold on there own here or abroad. I dont know if they focus on that as most of there business is military then the civillian market business as a small component. However it defenetly is a great idea, either through them or another manufacturer. Maybe CanadaAmmo can drum up the interest as they work directly with manufacturing for some of there product. They could pump plinking components out for dirt cheap.

While I would probably buy .45 FMJ ball and other things, I would imagine COSCO's problem with shipping ammunition would extend to components. If I understand correctly, their problem is that they can't go near a US port with Chinese ammunition. Under ITAR, components=ammunition.

But I hope I'm wrong.

would order at least 1000 .308 projectiles given the right price. It's sad when "bulk" .308 is so close to match I just buy match

You probably wouldn't be limited to COSCO when shipping cases/bullets as they aren't a hazardous good. COSCO may still not ship it, but there are other logistics providers who could.
