Norinco type 81 nr-81 being made again

@Fenceline: re:AP80/AK22 classification while this is correct how about the same MP5 22 (GSG-522) look-a-like that was classed as a prohib despite no parts compatibility?
The RCMP still classify based on looks and not solely on function/lineage. There still seems to be no consistency with their classifications though.

Ever try to use the lower to make the upper fire?

Same process they use to determine if an AR is a variant. Ask ATRS how their first sample of the Modern Hunter got deemed an AR variant. Lots of duct tape and an AR upper on their first lower attempt.

Same deal. Same reason the Mossberg lower and Adkal lowers got classified the way they did.

I know cz858 with wood furniture but you see how that turned into a mess. To have an AK or SMG would be amazing in canada but it will never happen with all the paranoia around firearms

You needed 3 posts to say all that?

"If it looks like an ak..." Vz58.

"You'll get Ebola before an AK variant". It isn't a variant, its a unique design. And you can get two different AK variants, the m78 and the hunter. Not that it matters, it isn't an AK operating system in the 81.

"Paranoia" seems to go both ways doesn't it. I'm going to go shoot my vz61 now. That rifle based on a submachine gun that was approved not too long ago, even with the pistol version that came later being a named prohib. But hey, I guess looks aren't everything.
