My order for the type 97 dated jan 12th was
just processed today the 7th of feb. They must
be getting to the bottom of the pile.Great it looks
like things are moving ahead .it's getting closer.

What pray tell is moving ahead?
Credit cards are being billed... so what!?

The T-97's are still in Canada Caustoms lock-up. They have NOT as yet been released. Customs has had them for three weeks now. There is no difference now than when they were sitting in the hold of some Chinese ship somewhere out in the Pacific Ocean. They are no closer to being delivered in your hands.

As least, on the ship, they were moving closer to Canada at about 10 knots. Technically, they are not as yet in Canada (They are in limbo) and after 3 weeks, I would say they aren't moving period.

Once Customs releases them and they come thought the door at CanadaAmmo then you can rejoice. Getting a woody because Mark has charged your credit card just blows me away.

I don't want to piss on anybody's parade, but Canada Customs can sit on a shipment for a very long time if they so wish. They can also decide to put it back an a ship returning to China.

Judging from the fact that they are not as yet released, I would imagine that Customs is scouring the laws for a loophole to reject these black, evil looking instruments of mass murder. "We" know that they fall into the non-restricted class, but Customs sure as hell doesn't.

Again, I don't want to kick you in the gonads, but Customs has been know to "hold" shipments for MONTHS, ending with either their release of refusal to import.

God only knows what goes on in the minds of the Customs Lords. They have absolute power over goods entering our country.

The best thing we can do is WAIT for CanadaAmmo to announce that they have physically received the rifles and are commencing shipments.

Having your credit cards charged means NOTHING. It is conceivable that "IF" customs doesn't release the rifles soon, CanadaAmmo may start reversing (crediting) your credit cards until such time that Customs gets off their ass and decides on the shipments status.

Queued to processed, processed to charged, charged to backordered, backordered to invoiced... doesn't mean a damn... the only status that means something is "SHIPPED".

The only post I would like to see in this thread is, "They are being shipped..."

I don't believe this can be improved on. Well put.

How about some info Canam

Canam, how about some info regarding all the above? i.e.

Are they still at customs?

Is there a problem with the non restricted classification?

Have you been given a update on delivery / release to you

Some words from you may quell some concerns!

Thanks in advance

The wait is ok for me... to get the rifle after Valentines Day would be quite alright...
My wife is at home on maternity leave; so she'll be the one receiving the "Disco Tech" box... much better if I can give her the jewel+chocolate+flowers before she sees the T97 :p
:adult:

I thought someone posted a few days ago that they saw a stack of T97 boxes at a gun shop somewhere.
I don’t believe it was posted here, because we shouldn’t discuss other dealers in CanadaAmmos dealer forum, but I could have sworn I read it somewhere.

I think it was some guy that worked for vancouver port or something...

you know what would be fun to pass the time, we should bet on what page this thread will get to before the first non-restricted 97 is received

at the current rate of posts I would have to say page 111 will be the number when they are annouced and 154 before they get in anyones hands with all the where's mine comments

Norton,

I think the post was about the "Outlaw" having been shipped to dealers.

By the way, haven't you guys heard the latest rumour... The Chinese sent the wrong container to Canada, they are all airsoft

Well I got a few weeks till the gophers are out. I still want my ####in gun!!!

Customs=power tripping bag licking #### eaters.

I cancelled my order back in late sept for one of these. I am contemplating putting the cash down now. I just don't think with that carry handle it would be very good with optics. But adding another bullpup to the collection is never a bad thing when you are out to tick liberal gun grabbers off.

Ok I just ordered one. Not sure if I should have though.
