I'm planning on seeing if the local gunsmith can do a target crown on mine and work on the trigger :D. I'm not really sure what the accuracy potential is for these rifles.

So we're down to just a few weeks away from the possible delivery date. Any updates on the shipping arrival dates and possible timeline for processing the pre-orders?

I remember a while back, lector shot some awesome groups with a recrowned restricted one.

I bet many of you won't go to work; scared to leave the house in case you miss that all-important delivery. You sit in perfect silence and don't dare turn on the television set in case you don't hear the door bell ring when the delivery man brings your rifle.

Alright, which window are you watching me through?:eek:

Not to sound grumpy but, it has been answered several times above. The container gets here when it gets here. There's a rough estimate of when it will arrive ie "Novemberish" could be January. Containers aren't like UPS packages being scanned at every stop and the boats don't move like UPS truck or plane, they stop at a whole lot of different ports. Take the Grizzly for example supposed to show around May, got here in early July. We should count ourselves lucky that some Somali ambassadors aren't giving our rifles a tour of Somalia right now.:D

Actually, shipping on any package, container, air freight or hand delivered post package is easily tracked these days. With this many firearms being delivered, the departure date from port, and arrival date will be given and updated as they change. Containers aren't just stuffed in and unloaded and left until someone opens them and tries to figure out who the contents belong to.

Every last bit is well tracked and arrival times are easily projected. If it is a container, you can even find the ship it is travelling on, and if you pay for the software, can track that ship's location as it travels over the Pacific. This does not necessarity mean that the arrival date is faster, it just means the change can more easily be communicated to the business waiting for product.

The shipment is well documented, well tracked. Been here, done that. It is up to the company, Canam how much information they wish to pay to pursue and how much of that they wish to share. There are also language issues which add cost to communication sometimes, not always. But everything remains traceable. Sometimes it can be expensive to have staff who can translate etc and that cost would be passed on to us. As much as I'd love to know even within a week or two when they are arriving, it is up to Canam to decide how much they wish to pay or how much time they wish to devote to finding this out.
