Norinco vs Dominion Arms

I would give up my 12.5 Grizzly for anything!

Been shooting my Grizzly now for a few months and it is really getting smooth. Installed a shorter Hogue stock and a aluminum forend for a light (getting a much smaller light) all in all it is my go to gun when backpacking. The Magpull tri grip on the slide just makes pumping way more natural.

Overall I think it is decent quality for the money especially with that short barrel and ghostrings.

I have not tried a 3" shell but I am sure it will punishing but way less than what is on the other end!:D

I have an HP9 with a 14" and a 2 3/4" wingy with an 18.5". The wingy is really nice in comparison but the HP9 certainly is functional, just not as light or slick. Really, these gun are like lego. I suggest you buy a short barrel DA or Nork, (pref. used off the EE), and then look to pick up a used Wingmaster or Express. Trust me this will not be your last 870 style, you'll be changing configurations and having fun for a long time.

On the HP9 my forend tube assembly was obviously hammered into the foregrip at the factory. There are hammer marks from when it was assembled. Did anyone have any trouble changing out the forend on their DA or Norky? Mine would need a vice, some wood blocks and a 3 pound hammer. Possibly damage to the foregrip. Sorry for the slight derail, but there are a lot of modded Norks, Rems and DAs in this post.

Funny thing about shotguns, I have these 2, an IGA coachgun supreme, a Lakefield 400 with two barrels and a Norinco 1897 clone coming to me and I am STILL having a hard time not buying the used 870 supermag express with a Remchoked 18.5" barrel at a nearby shop. :(

Okay, just to share, I went and snapped some outdoor pics even though I'm in Bantario. :p

Some facts, my 870 weighs in @ 7lbs 6oz without bayonet, 8lbs with.
HP9 with +1 and mesa tactical sidesaddle is 7lbs 10 oz.

Well.. im all excited.. went today pickup an old Wingmaster.. really happy with it.. i didn't had time to take ###y high resolution pics but i still got a quick one.

First step/hard part: find an old Wingmaster in good condition [check.. big thanks to Yogi05!!]
Second step/easy part: wait for a few 870 pieces from sponsors [the objective is still make a shorty ~30" inch]

I wonder if we can track down the production year of a Wingmaster with the serial number...
EDIT: waiting on Remington with the info.. looks like its a frequently asked question.

That's not the factory forend on the HP9, it's a Davis Speedfeed. I had the same one put on my HP9 and while I didn't have to hammer it on, it took two of us to get it on there. It's not ever coming off unless I cut it off.

Found out after the fact that the forend tube is slighlty larger on the Norinco and most forends will need to be sanded to fit.

Thanks for the info, I was wondered if all HP9 owners where having trouble changing forends.
