North East BC Whitetail buck down!! More pics post 12

I thought you'd be hunting elk with your beloved 308 norma :)

It's always a tough decision. Which rifle should I take? lol. The Norma Mag has several elk "notches"
already, so wanted to try something different. Especially the Oryx bullet from Norma. It is supposed
to be a good bonded offering. Only way to evaluate is to try it out, I'm thinking. It would have been
nice to take an elk with it to see results. The deer was not much of a challenge for it. :) Dave.

Well, I was not quite done with Whitetails. Knocked down a nice dry doe in 7A
257 Weatherby [Vanguard II with a Boyd's Laminate upgrade] 315 yards. 120
grain Nosler Partition at 3300+ fps. Huskemaw 3-12 LR. bang-flop!! DRT Lungs
like pudding. Looks like the freezer will have something in it. :) Dave.

Just wanted to update on the Whitetail deer as table fare.
Cooked up some steaks yesterday. [Onions, mushrooms, etc]
They were positively delicious!!

My wife [bless her] loves game meat, but is picky about deer.
She had some of this buck last night, and commented on how
good it was.

Hard to beat those alfalfa/oat/canola fed deer! Dave.
