I was in the biggest gun shop in South Africa this summer. Lots of 375 Rugers on the shelf but few are bought,it still has away to go. It's a good cartridge but it has to prove it self in the field when dangerous game is on the agenda. Not many PH's trading off their proven stoppers for the Ruger. Maybe in time it will happen
Lucky for us, the NEW KING will be around for a long, long time. The H&H has been around along time because there has never been a real challenger in 375 caliber. There's been lots of 375 cartridges, but none offered the great balance of performance, versatility and shootability. Until now....
The 30-06 has been around a long time but that hasn't prevented the success of other well thought out 30 caliber cartridges. One notable 30 cal is the 300WSM, and the same people that are talking about the NEW KING disappearing told us about how the 300WSM would fail and to "stock up on brass" when it was introduced a decade ago. Now you can buy the ammo at Walmart.
