So I was putting a rifle into the safe last night and it felt funny when I was turning the handle to lock the safe - it was almost like something was in the way. So I opened the door, made sure everything was ok and tried again. It still felt funny. I checked again - everything seems ok. I turned the handle with a bit more force and it closed.
So now the fun part. I just tried to open the safe...and it doesn't open. I insert the key and it almost feels like the lock twists the key under it's own weight - not quite but when I start to turn the key it hits a point where it feels that way. I have been trying for some time and nothing.
So do I just buy another safe and start filling the new safe with new firearms? I could leave this one like a time capsule and when I eventually sort it out I will be so happy to see my long lost kit. In the meantime I would have acquired new kit because, you know, a man's got move on when such disaster strikes.
Or maybe there are some other options out there.... *ahem* - that is the cue for some brilliant CGN advice.
