I have 4 of the black dog 50 rnd drums. I bought 2 back in early 2010, and 2 more when they prohib'd the 25 rnd M&P mags.
They work very well when loaded to 47-48 rnds. Load em to 50 and they seem to have trouble feeding the first 2 or so rounds. I tried everything I could think of to get them to work. I even loaded them up and left them sit for 3 months..... They still have too much spring tension.....
One of mine broke after a month, only loaded and unloaded 3 times. Questar took care of warranty I had a new one back in under 3 weeks (2010).
I also have towers for 10/22 and AR, same same problem.....
