That was my biggest issue, by the time deer season. Starts you have like 2 hours after work if you can hunt in your own property or very close to work/home but then day light savings time kicks in and it dark before 5pm so after work is a nogo and then that just leaves you with Saturday. That's it. Bill #### if you ask me.Hard to take when you only have weekends off. Let's get real people! This is 2025!
Well isn't that a strikingly convincing counter-argument.Get over yourself.
Easy on your meds ozzyWhy? Some holdover from Christian religious principles?
I already gave a good, reasonable argument and you likened me with a gun grabber.Well isn't that a strikingly convincing counter-argument.
You're just full of infinite wisdom, aren't you.
And here you are still convinced your argument was solid and reasonnableI already gave a good, reasonable argument and you likened me with a gun grabber.
Get over yourself. That's as infinite as you deserve.

He is not right ......... My thought process is that temporary closing the woods for a few days is hardly the same as having your firearms confiscated, never to be allowed to own that firearm again. Folks put their own selfish wants over the protection of those who have a lot more to lose than them. I live in a heavily wooded area and have a lot to lose and fully agree with the temp closures. I dare say that those who would stomp the most about the temp. closures would most probably live in a spot that would not be threatened by fires so have nothing to lose.He is right though in that your thought process about banning people from entering the woods is literally the exact same as anti gunners. Punish everyone because 1 person might cause harm.
Yet that was caused by lightening. No ban would have stopped it. Plus the tropical storm erin helped push the fire over the fire breaks. We need the big water bombers as many of the area cannot be accessed. But the government never learned from the Shelburn or Tantallon fires. How many homes have been lost in NS this summer alone to wildfires? (From AI ...... Wildfires in the Long Lake area of Annapolis County destroyed 20 homes on Sunday, August 24.)

Actually was another grass fire in my town started by the ambers and burnt leaves falling from that big wildfire.
Just some burnt leaves I found scattered all over my property when went to check on my house and pull some stuff to pre evacuate if need be.

My house is only 20mins from that wildfire. But like any laws, rules etc. You are going to have people say F it.. Those are the ones that are starting the fires and are careless.
Ben FranklinThose who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety
Yup. Not sure how many times told some person the dangers of why you cannot fight fires at night, or the military dont fight uncontrolled fires, or bombers cannot land in fog or night.I thought Timmy told us we didn't need water bombers ?
The real problem is Nova Scotians themselves. Everything is GD emergency and they want the Gov to fix every GD thing. But Nova Scotians don't have the attention span to expect or deserve results, they just flip flop over to the next emergency to pearl clutch and gasp about; and forget about the last, or what really is an emergency.

All one big team partying at WEF Freeland's house...Tim was in attendance...^^^ Yes.
In fact for many years the only good politicians in Kanada are the ones buried in the ground with their souls sent to an earned hot location for eternity.
I'm glad that I've never set foot in New Scotland or anywhere east of Ontario in Kanada. I don't ever intend to.
I was quite happy living and working in Maine years ago, there weren't too many lefties there at that time. At least I didn't hear of any at the machine gun shoots we attended.

There SHOULD be a Taxpayers vote on it !Its time NS allowed Sunday hunting.
Nothing scares Nova Scotians like change though.
There SHOULD be a Taxpayers vote on it !![]()
Hunting is a timeless tradition for many. With the rising cost of living and the recent tariffs imposed by the US, combined with many people working Monday to Friday it’s never been a better time for Nova Scotia to follow suit to other provinces and allow its resident to hunt Sundays.
