Novelty Firearms (The Gears of War Lancer)

Sadly I do agree with others on this thread. There are not a lot of gun guys who are also gamers so it wouldn't be popular.
at that price I myself would be interested depending on how it worked. But as said before the better idea would be to designing a ar180b style rifle around the 900-1300 price mark. It would be immensely popular, as you would be selling to a wider market than just gamers.
If you had the talent to make a fully functional Lancer from GOW a ar 180b shouldn't be too challenging.

Hi all,
I'm part of a group of entrepreneurs with the University of Alberta that are looking to make and sell firearms that are replicated from video games. We're looking to get an idea of what the market size is. If we build the rifle pictured below and were able to sell it for approximately $1200.00 would anyone buy it?

Key points:
- It will be well built to feel very solid
- Very little plastic will be used, the gun is meant to feel heavy
- Size will be similar to an AR-15 with a larger frame
- The rifle will include a full length detachable stock
- Caliber will be 223
- The chain saw will work! You won't really be able to cut anything with it, but it will make noise and spin

P.S.
Anyone know the legal process around becoming a manufacturer of firearms in Alberta?

Speaking as a firearms designer and manufacturer, there is no way that you could make this rifle and sell it for $1200, unless you are a group of philanthropists instead of entrepreneurs. If you are serious about this project, and this is not a troll post, then feel free to contact us for your R&D needs.

He really didn't say they are any good at it, most of people I have met that call themselves entrepreneurs barely had two pennies to rub together, they are always trying to get you to invest your money in their ideas or try to get products and services off you for free or at a huge discount.
