The 9th already and nobody has a new gun?

I picked this up to today at the Winnipeg gun show - a 1944 No.36 Mk.I Mills Bomb.

Garand

Got my first Garand from a fellow CG'er - now if I can just find some 30-06 milsurp ammo to feed Ginger (yeah that's what I named her gotta problem with that?!!)

M1 Paratrooper carbine

Just received this little friend last week. Inland M1 Carbine

Don't know much about these
Inside the stock is marked 4S082, Pistol Grip bottom is marked with M P,
Trigger Housing stamped with Inland Crest, Bbl marked SA 11 51,
Receiver marked US Carbine Cal .30 M1, Inland Div

Cleaned it up this morning, took it out for a try, works great, lots of fun (and ammo)

Bought a Savage 300 win mag bolt with scope. Pictures abound everywhere. Taking it out to the range tomorrow to sight in. Hopefully there is a bullet in the box of ammo I bought with a deer's name on it next week.

A new (to me) 1941 Izhevsk Mosin Nagant M38! It's my first original-condition milsurp and I'm pretty excited to take it for a little work out. My reason (read excuse) for buying this rifle is to use it for a deer rifle in fall '09.
Thanks to weimajack for this great looking piece of history.

Not a lot happening in November. 18th already and only 1 page!

Here are a couple that I just got.

2 Webleys. A Mk III in 38/200 and a Mk VI in .455. The Mk III came from a neighbour who's uncle bought it for self defense in Toronto in the early 1920s.

A nice P 38 with ac 43 markings. Another neighbour who was persuaded that I was a more worthy recipient than nearby Toronto's 'pistols for pixels' program.

Sorry for the crap photos. Maybe I should trade something in to get a decent camera.

Nice scores, indeed. And very glad that you were thought of as more worthy that the pistols for pixels program on that awsome P38:):)

well I had a good day at the Maple Creek show. I got a model '82 Cooey for $125.00 and the score of the century, a 1873 Martini Henry still in mkI configuration for $550.00. It's missing it's cleaning rod and original butt plate, but those should be acquirable through IMA.

Nobody buying lately, or are people losing interest in sharing new purchases?

Anyways, here's a couple of mine from December.

Picked up a Kokura T-38 Arisaka at the Brandon gun show - all early features, ground mum, missing dust cover, and a very nice bore. Also got an 1890 Amberg Gewehr 88, Turked rear sight and bolt, definately has that "been there, done that" look to it, but the price was right.

Not pictured is a Webley .38 Mk.IV, War Finish marked, and with what looks like a military proof. Also got it in Brandon, just waiting for the paperwork to go through.

I have an obscene backup of new guns I'm just not finding the time to photograph. Between writing material for milsurps.com and a busy work schedule it's just soooo hard to find time.

The last couple month's highlights include:

-1943 BSA Dispersal SMLE MkIII*
-1920's BSA Volunteer Pattern SMLE MkIII
-1934 Ishapore SMLE MkIII
-1943 Ishapore SMLE MkIII*
-1943 non-refurbed Underwood M1 carbine
-1918 Canadian marked RSAF Enfield SMLE MkIII*

Not to mention a pile of accessories and knick-knacks...

1918 SMLE No. III* and Winchester 94 30-30

I went to the shooting range and the SMLE is a great shooter cant wait to go hunting with it next year :)

SNT 40 sniper, made by Tula in 1941. Rifle is a refurb, perfect bore, no German laser etched s/n's.

Real sniper rifle, real Tokarev scope, repro mount. Mount fits very snugly but slid on smoothly, very nicely machined. Sling isn't right.
