Now Available... FEG P9M's

Just completed removing the magazine safety. It wasn't as easy as I remember, had to remove the complete trigger assembly to be able to get rid of that pad. I think it didn't come lose easily due to rough surface between trigger and disconnector. Trigger is much better now around 2.5 kg. Hopefully will try shooting the gun tomorrow...

My pair arrived today, one complete and one of the parts guns. Very decent overall, few more tool marks on the internal side then you would see on a Browning, dust cover was a little sharp on the corners, everything fits pretty tight, trigger is not bad as is, exterior is quite nice and well polished/blued. Sights are a little tight, not much clearance in the rear sight notch so ill open that up a bit as it affects the sight picture. The frame only gun was finished quite a bit better which is a bonus i guess :)
Nice solid guns for the price.
I did swap out the OEM grips for hogue wrap around....I found the original grips put my trigger finger to high which allows for hammer bite. I thought the hogue might be too thick but they feel pretty darn good.

Just got around to detail stripping, cleaning and lubing. This gun is pretty simple to strip and get back together. Used Frog lube for the first time. What a joy to use. I was having trouble with my magazine release sticking when pressed. It was the grip panel being a little too close. A little filing of the grip panel and no more sticking. With the Mag safety out and it all cleaned and lubed everything is working nicely. Trigger is good, mags drop free easily. Now to just shoot it tomorrow.

Well I got the FEG out to the range today. Pretty disappointed. Failure to eject or feed every second or every round. I was using my reloads but they work fine in three other nines I have. I am going to polish the feed ramp and bend the extractor a little to see if this helps. Hope I can get it shooting reliably as it feels great in the hand.

If they are loaded down a bit, may not be the best guage for a brand new gun. I like to run a few boxes of factory through any new gun to see how well it cycles and what the ejection pattern is. Most new guns will need a little break in period before you can run them on lighter loads. These have 17lb recoil springs by design.

I was thinking about that as well. Will try out factory loads, just haven't bought any in a while. My loads are not particularly light but may be for this recoil spring. I was thinking about getting a lighter spring as well. I have a lot of reloads...;) I will still polish a few things, can't hurt. I really want to get this gun working smoothly and I've never done any real work on a gun before so this will be my first project.

Thanks

I shoot mine with my reload with no issue. 4.1gn of TG and 124gn Campro

Only issue with mine is that it constantly shoot high and right

Removing the mag safety helped a lot for trigger pull + mag now drop free :)

Enjoy

I'm heading out with mine again this week. As far as ammo went the first time, I used several handloads. It fed 3 different bullets ahead of 4 different types of powder with nary a hitch.

Yah, I don't think it's the ammo, more likely the ramp needs polishing. That should take care of the feeding, but the bigger problem was the extracting. I picked up a couple of boxes of factory just in case.

Thanks
Mark

Brand new from questar for 350

EE price 525...

I posted one tonight, $425 shipped, what I paid with tax and shipping, thought better of it and listed for $400 shipped. I think this is fair, do not want to make anything, just recover.

Must have been, sold in minutes.
