To Halger280HVMag:
Very nice looking gun! I'm looking at ordering one of these myself, but I've got a few questions for you...
1) How do you you find the trigger pull on the NP-30N? I hear the Norinco triggers are notoriously heavy. And what about trigger creep?
2) What's the deal with the 'slim' wraparound grip? Is it really that close to the profile of a single stack?
3) How's the nickel plating holding up?
4) Last, anything else you'd want to do in the way of customizing?
For the price, this gun has pretty much everything I would have added onto a stock 1911A1 (I'm a lefty shooter, so the ambi-safety is a big one), and while my hands arn't small, the extended slide release is a nice touch.
On one last note, I've heard from numerous sources that the mags are proprietary, so if you want extras, you're stuck buying NP-30 mags. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks for the pics, it looks great!
I would much preffer a 'regular' 1911 that can use any 1911 mags.
Kinda hate the 'made in china' and 'exported by norinco' markings and huge serial humber on the slide,
wish it said 1911 somewhere (preferably instead of NP30)
It crossed my mind, but I preffer stainless so I was thinking of getting it nickel plated and replacing the hammer, beavertail and trigger with nicer parts...than I saw the NP-30N and though "That's exactly what I want!" - almost ordered one on Friday!...but made myself take some time and think it thu (figured they should still be 'there' on Monday). Now I'm not too sure what to do...hmmWhy not get a $325 1911-A1 ?
I know what you mean, (Taurus fanI particularly like that. It's a stament that says 'I could not give a f**k about what others think'. It makes me happy![]()
I know what you mean, (Taurus fan), the problem is it kinda bothers me... :-/

That's why I don't own a Norinco 1911-A1...By the time you had finished messing about with it you will have spent as much or more than buying an expensive pistol, but it would be worth less than it was before you started.
