It's gonna be fun!Just like the old days....but with less people.
So what's the weather been like out there fellas?

The weather has been very warm in Ottawa,, in the high 20s. Forecast for this week and weekend start of NSCC is: continuing hot with showers and humid. It is to be in the 30s and sunny by this Friday.

My room in the shacks is averaging 28 degrees during the day.

Today we had rain for about 10 minutes in the middle of the afternoon...drenched, then the sun was back hotter than ever 10 minutes after the rain stopped.

Some good shooting going on, the Pet contingent has arrived and is playing around, we're hanging out on Delta, and our pistoleers are swaggering around P3/P4.

Did a walkback zero and some matches today, had a grand time.

I'll recommend bringing (or buying) a fan to keep things a bit cooler for you at night. Also, the mozzies are hungry. Bring bug-dope.

BTW, keep an eye out for me, I'll be booting around with the tacky shirts on, eh!

Rumour has it that MWO Gray is in town with the JTF Atlantic Team (MARLANT Navy Team?).

Someone mentioned that Ferguson will be shooting as a civi.

The ASH of Canada arrived over the weekend as well. I believe they may have 6 members.

It looks like this will be a well attended event,, better than any year since the demise of CFSAC.

can civvies stop in to spectate ? i live just down the road might make for a decent way toi escape my boring daily life of umm yeah it just sounds like it might be funner then staying at home LOL

SignGuy:

Yes, by all means civvies are allowed to check things out. You would best be advised to drop into Connaught and then make your way to the DCRA building/office at 45 Shirley Blvd, by the old messhall, this all faces Charlie Range where most of the Rifle and Precision Rifle are gonna happen. Contact Betty Ann or Bill Plouffe when you enter the office. They can brief you where all the different disciplines are shooting.

Look out for NavyShooter and the MARLANT Team Spud Weapon. LOL

We get in early tomorow morning . Not much practise time.Looks like we are just going to get a little zeroing at that's about it unfortunately. This will definately have to be planned better next time.I hope I can keep up my standards ;)

Talked to Rooster on the phone a bit ago, sounds like all is well, hot, but well. They did their zeros today and I guess the wind at 800m was a bit of a learning curve for Rooster33.

If you do stop by check out the prizes and firearms display that is put on... they are in the classrooms attached to the Mess Hall... LOL (beer and guns) between the Mess and DCRA building.

Sunday they will be up and running at about 1600hrs, so the sign says.

Very nice toys, me thinks some of the rangers will be re-equiping for next year.... scoped, free-floated, .308 enfields, with 10 rd mags = nice advantage

and they look nice too boot!
