Cat A- is rimfires.
Cat B is centre fires
Cat C is semi auto shotgun / rifles. Only "pro" can acquire them or primary producer for pest control but strict rules

This recent horrendous attack in AUS will more than likely bring further bans here within the next year, I would bet money on it.
