I'll get some more pics up when it arrives.

JUST won this neat littlediddy on e-pay. It's a somewhat uncommon WW2 Italian M91/41 sling as copied from the Greman K98k sling. NOT A REPRO! :D Got it for 11 pound from Italy, which after shipping is about $33 canadian. They usually sell for twice that ;)

Is that for the full length Carcano, or is it suitable on the fucilo corto 91/38 as well?

I ask because I bought a Carcano carbine sling from Rick Reich and it's quite different.

Skippy - it's for the M91/41 long rifle, though I imagine some would have been used on carbines as well. The Italians in WW2 used a variety of slings. For the M91/41, for example, they used this sling after mid-1941 or so, but they also used the older brass buckled M91 sling with the long eyelets. The carbines usually used a shorter version of the M91 sling, but I've seen pics of them with just about every sling the Italians ever issued hooked onto them, so really any type is correct.

I've got something new on the way.... here's a teaser:

Oh, and I also fished this old M24 sling out of the 'bay that some bozo stamped with "SY" and "1924"... anyone know what that might mean?

Then there was this Terni made Italian M1891 frog I just HAD to have...

Uh-oh! I'm still on fire! Just closed a deal here on the CGN EE for another uncommon Finn.

Here's a teaser pic:

Let's see if any on you are up on your Finn Mosins enough to guess what it is... Those who saw the ad or who used to own this rifle (you know who you are) should refrain from guessing to make it more fun for the others... ;)

Mausers - Spanish M1893 and Mexican M1910

Both in 7x57, and visually quite similar, however the Spanish is a M93 Mauser and the Mexican is of M98 design.

The Spanish has a beautiful bore, the wood and metal are about as good as anything I own, and everything matches.

The Mexican also has a great bore, to my surprise, because the metal and wood show "use". About 40,000 were made and mine has the distinction of being the only one NOT personally used by Pancho Villa (a Mexican Mauser joke ;) ).

Both are missing their cleaning rod.
