So sitting with a sick kiddie now, ofcourse black rifles are on my mind.
I have a shorty (10.5") upper coming soon. For short rifles I like using irons, but cannot deny the need for a red dot at times.
I was throwing around the idea of using the front sight post, a non flipping rear BUIS, but then using something like a Burris Fast Fire on an off set mount to the 1 o'clock position from the flat top, much like when this is done with a scope.
So primary is the iron sights, but with a quick change in position, I have a lightweight Red Dot.
