O'Dell C22

[RL1]

Hi All

I had the opportunity to shoot the new O'Dell C22 at their range day yesterday. I will have more pics in my event review coming in the next day or two. In the meantime a teaser pic. It will be on display at TACCOM

A friend told me about this rifle yesterday. Looks very interesting, and if it's warrantied by O'Dell that a big plus.

Please tell me this is just a prototype and those awful cutouts/windows on the mag well will not be on the final version. If it wasn't for that, I'd say this might be the best looking Turkish 22 to date.

[AlphaCharlieDelta]

Is that a ruger style mag or is it proprietary?

[RL1]

I can ask about that but i will say it takes proprietary mags although 10//22 mags will work with it but its mags wont work with a 10/22.

Another Turkish 22 I'm assuming lol

It would be nice if they are TUF22 compatible

I like how O'Dell responded to Derya Arms abruptly ending their 10-year partnership!

Now, lose 6" off the barrel length, ensure it has a bolt hold and slap release, price at $600 (or less) and win.

[CanuckShooter]

Those look like AR take down pins. Is that how it comes apart?

[Suther]

Ambi or reversible controls in any way?

Ambi or reversible controls in any way?

That's what I'm wondering.

[RL1]

if you look at the pics in my review of the two variants you can see that the bolt handles are on different sides

How about safety and magazine release?

[mojoman]

How about safety and magazine release?

If you look at the picture there is a safety on the right hand side and the magazine release appears to be 10/22 style so is right or left handed.

I will load up on there mags if tuff22 compatible. My st-22 is in dire need of some 25 rounders

Oh yeah! I didn't even think about that. Safety on the right side would imply ambidextrous AR-style safety.

[fred0000]

I would like one

Looks decent and looking forward to some reviews. Glad its not as scary as GSG16, ISSC, STG44 and other prohibs

[GrimRX]

What's the two barrel lengths we're seeing?

Canuck C22, designed by O'Dell

Price wasn't confirmed. Ballpark $600

Proprietary mags, 25rds. Will also accept 10/22 mags

That indicates it is probably true bolt hold as I guess that external tab activates the BHO on the firearm
