O'Dell C22

I had the opportunity to shoot the new O'Dell C22 at their range day yesterday. I will have more pics in my event review coming in the next day or two. In the meantime a teaser pic. It will be on display at TACCOM

A friend told me about this rifle yesterday. Looks very interesting, and if it's warrantied by O'Dell that a big plus.

Please tell me this is just a prototype and those awful cutouts/windows on the mag well will not be on the final version. Looks ultra lame and weak and for what purpose? If it wasn't for that, I'd say this might be the best looking Turkish 22 to date.

Is that a ruger style mag or is it proprietary?

I can ask about that but i will say it takes proprietary mags although 10//22 mags will work with it but its mags wont work with a 10/22.

Now, lose 6" off the barrel length, ensure it has a bolt hold and slap release, price at $600 (or less) and win.

If you look at the picture there is a safety on the right hand side and the magazine release appears to be 10/22 style so is right or left handed.

I will load up on there mags if tuff22 compatible. My st-22 is in dire need of some 25 rounders

Oh yeah! I didn't even think about that. Safety on the right side would imply ambidextrous AR-style safety.
