OFAH Wild Turkey Hunter Education Course

To some of you the course may seem to be a "rip off". However, the OFAH put up the money and time to re-introduce turkeys so that we can enjoy the hunting we do today.

A one-time course fee is hardly an onerous amount of money for being able to enjoy turkey hunting where there was none 20 years ago. And now we also have a fall hunt.

So pay the cost of admission and be thankful the OFAH did the necessary work years ago for your present enjoyment.

Don't praise the OFAH too much. They cost us handgun hunting and the spring bear hunt! (Just to name a couple) What they cost us as hunters far outweights what they have given us in return....... :nest: Flame away, but make sure you have your facts. V:I:

I took the course a few years ago here in Sudbury, and I was extremely impressed with both the content, and the presentation by the two guys that put it on.

There were about 100 people there, and yes, a few idiots probably passed the test, but it isn't designed to weed out the idiots, but rather to educate, which it did, and well. We wern't master turkey hunters when we left, but all of us were a lot more knowledgeable that when we went in.
